Pride Group - TPine

Any recent rumors / gossip / facts / knowledge ? I'm craving an update.
Tpine is on its last leg to closing. The last of the remaining handful of staff are slowly being let go in these last couple of weeks. D day is last day of March.
I’m sure Pride is not fairing so well also. Has to be tough go considering the economy and trade wars with U.S

Drive by the nestle facility on Airport and Queen a bunch.

Used to have 4-5 Pride trailers there at any given time. Probably seen 1 in the past month.

Guessing customers are slowly removing them from routing guides.

I am surprised that some stuck with them that long. Money talks

is there anyone who had rental trucks from TPINE (PRIDE) now they transferrd to daimler and daimler is asking to pay full lease terms plus buy out at the end of term ,which is costing 100k more , so just checking if is any facing this problem ,pm me

A smidgen of dumb-a$$ery going on here, I did not know they were set up, so the profile was not flagged or terminated; consequently we put them on a LTL shipment from ON to QC, it went ok, the trailer number started with PGL so it was at least picked up with their trailer. Ironically they factor their invoices through Rev Capital

I'm glad it worked out for you.

They’ve reopened truck sales under the name Multi Truck Sales. Who would be dumb enough to buy from these people??!!!
The trucking industry is full of people who know so very little about business and make all decisions based on the operational situation that is happening today. Everyday dozens of individuals make the decision to move from being a truck driver to a trucking company. These new to business individuals are the ones who keep bad actors in the game because their decisions are based on emotion and the quest for equipment at whatever cost. People like the Johal brothers' prey on these individuals and take advantage of the inexperience and profit by it. In the meantime, the Johal brothers, also with no business acumen, make similar misjudgments in their quest for business progress and the cycle continues. Multi Truck Sales will get customers blinded by the opportunity that can be provided to individuals that have the need for equipment at whatever cost they can make the sale. They'll have trouble at the beginning but over time all will be forgotten.

The cycle just continues until people smarten up.
