The address they were using when I was collecting off them was on Torbram Road, but of course it was just a PO box in a strip mall...

I'm guessing they probably don't have room to store your skid in their PO box...

I'm also guessing they don't actually have any trucks...
 
We met them in a parking lot and transferred the skid.

That sounds about right... Was this a parking lot for a strip mall by any chance? haahaa...

Out of curiosity, was it their name on the truck that transferred the load to you or someone else?

Riteway dont have their own trucks. they pay very cheap and no one answers their phone especially when they give you the wrong address for delivery and then refuses to pay wait time or an extra drop for incorrect address. on our DNU list for sure.
 
Called Riteway today to check on my invoice that is over 60 days... We have emailed them previously which gets you a response that their A/P is only in the office on Mondays...

Of course, Monday has passed and I still have not heard back...

When I called today, it rang for a while and then went to the general voice mail box... Which is Full..
 
When I called back again, I noticed the "full voicemail" message is not for the number I called, which was 905-846-7483

The message says that the mailbox for 416-457-2044 is full...
 
Riteway Solutions are not easy to locate (by design). If you do an Industry Canada search, their address comes back as 3650 Weston Rd., Unit 9 (not 3615 Weston Rd). Moot point now as they are at neither location.
The Directors addresses show as 11 Fairhill Brampton, and a UPS Store location where the street name (Torbram) is conveniently missing. The correct address on Fairhill is 113, not 11.

Some of us may recall Dominion Expedite, where a key player was Tamara Liking. DE left a string of unpaid carriers. Her address is ..........................................113 Fairhill, Brampton.

I had a nonpayer once who was forthright and up front. He told me flat out that his was going south and couldn't pay, and that if he didn't beleive me I could tune in to CBC later that week.. to a show called "The Decision", hosted by pizza mogul Jim Treliving. So, later that week, in full colour, I got to see the customer that was going to stiff me.. and Treliving's prognosis.. "I doubt these guys are going to make it through another day".. and so I wrote off 800 bucks.
 
Absolute screw around on payments... That's what you will likely get if you do work for this company.

After hounding by phone, I was offered payment in two parts by Email funds transfer...

Was supposed to get half on the first transfer, and the rest was to be paid the following day... As I was told, they can only send $3000 per day... not sure why...

First transfer came through $200 short of what was promised...

I'm really busy these days, so didn't have time to hound them as much as I would normally in these circumstances... A couple days went by... I hounded again and was promised funds transfer the very next day... Well, that didn't happen... Was told it is coming soon...

Came back from a couple days off today and we are now nearly two weeks past the first transfer...

Hounded again, and was told it was an oversight/mistake and they meant to pay last week... blah blah blah...

Long story short... I got the second and final installment today by Email transfer...

Slow payments, non-responsiveness, installment plans... what more could you ask for in a broker!
 
just gave these guys a couple of loads and all of them were 2 - 3 days late - ON LOCAL . seems like they are probably getting fined which might be why they aren't paying bills on time. lots of excuses about multiple breakdowns, etc... lied about times of truck leaving ... hit our DNU list very fast and I think we are pretty forgiving under most circumstances.... I would be concerned about the state of their equipment with all the breakdowns i'm hearing about.

too bad ... seemed like really nice people at first...
Yea pretty shady company I was given a load from chantel had the driver go 50 miles to pickup an then shipper says the load got picked up so called her an she admitted that she gave the load to another truck who even gets their first that pissed me off so I told her I need a no truck movement order she said oh no problem we’ll take care of u then she comes back with I’ll guve u $150 I mean I drove 500 miles to pickup up load plus then had to layover the driver so it cost me a lot more so will never use them again
 
I'm going on 3.5 months an haven't got paid yet they're other phone number is 416-574-7402 an it goes to chantell direct will never use this company again shady company
 
We have them as DNU - notes show that we were booked on a load in 2020 and then they cancelled after we arrived and the freight was no longer available. Would not pay a TONU. We booked a different load later that year and overlooked the issue. We were paid in 74 days but with a lot of hassle and a tough time getting a hold of someone to discuss the payment.

I wouldn't recommend it with all the posts above....
 
I took the load and they were good to their word. They paid in 14 days. I did not call or have to do any follow up.
