TQL

I don't know about your dealings but;

TQL pays faster & more money than 99% of Canadian-based Brokerages.

There's no waiting for two hours on the tender; there's no waiting on your accounting to get back from vacation.

Canadian brokers can send that cheque after 45 days if you're lucky. Here in Toronto we're advised 30 days, but then AP says 60 days.

If we were to remove cabotage laws from the US/CAD market 95% of you would lose your business within a month.
buddy, I have been on asset and broker sides and ive personally seen tql load tenders my self and they pay way less than what others pay only difference is they pay out in usd.

Hey fella; some brokers pride themselves on covering outbound freight for 1000 CAD; others get more $ from TQL. I guess it's supply and demand.

If we can ever agree on the rate, the actual booking with them is actually a bit of a pain. They send you a first document that has light information, but more or shows their intent to book. Then they send a second "Dispatch" sheet once they can confirm driver and cell number of that driver etc. Then comes the conversation we don't give out driver information, which then leaves us with or without a load depending on who we are dealing with at TQL. Have to fight for wait time, they consider delay at a customer a wash if the load can still make it's delivery appointment because the driver "didn't actually lose that time."

When I have deal with TQL, it just makes me appreciate the good brokers that much more.

They are a billionaire business for a reason; and what they are doing clearly works for them. This being said, I would rather deal with the other 95% and not have to go through a bunch of BS when booking freight.

Cabotage rules aren't going anywhere, :)

Based on my experiences this is categorically false.

TQL is among the worst brokers I have ever, ever dealt with in terms of pay.

Yes, their payment terms are quick, but overall the amount of money they offer to carriers are among the lowest I have ever received from dozens of brokers I regularly deal with.

They are also rather slow to deal with any complications that may occur with shipments during transit.

For these reasons, TQL is a last resort for me to book with.

Agreed - they never help with custom / border issues - that you are pretty much on your own.
Also any delays are not dealt with

Literally every single one of my customers stay with me because i answer my phone and emails 24/7 and i actually take care of shipments, heck i even clear the load with the customs broker with your paps/pars for you

I take every single point of concern out of the equitation, all driver needs to do is show up to loading. drive and show up to delivery.

No worries about entry #s, appts , who is the customs broker? where is my double blind bols?

TQL tries to make 1300 usd per shipment and do nothing absolutely nothing. they don't even schedule appts or even really know who the customs broker is - its a vicious circle with them, dont even start with asking for accessorial

All they want to do is call you every 2 hours for tracing

This is true - when they called a few months ago for a load the price they had didn't work for us...we declined...they called again and went up $700 -

I have a 100% on-time rating with them; I guess they value that.

Some brokers cover outbound at 1.50 a mile!
I can book freight with TQL and sell it Shayne; let him sell it down the line and we'll both make money!
TQL keeps me well above 3$ a mile; others try to explain to me that my work is worth 1.5 a mile.

Funny business.

Logic: TQL wants to make 1300 on every load they do, and they still beat me on quoting!
This means your broker margin is too high, and we should consider 49 CFR 371.3.

If you're not ready to 49 CFR 371.3; and you complain about TQL beating your rates then your business is a scam.

Aright - put your money where your mouth is , show us the load tender from tql @ 3$ rpm

You ll need to blur our everything except the rate on the corner of the load sheet and the pickup and delivery cities
