Accepting Western Union payments

Hello All,

A broker is telling me that the only way they can pay me is through Western Union.

I am concerned that this is like a wire transfer or other weird US to CAN transfer that will end up costing me a service fee.

Anyone out there getting payments by Western Union?

I had one Western Union payment - if they set it up properly the fee is paid by the sender - you will get an MTCN number and you need to go to the bank and give them that number to get your money...almost like a Comdata check - ask for the payment to be received in USD to your USD account or CAD to your CAD account so you don't pay foreign exchange

The payment ended up coming in from Western Union with no deductions... All is good..
