I've got a few invoices over 60 days and more on the way. Cheque's in the mail so I'm told.

Anyone else with recent payment trends?

Hey Crosgre,

Thanks for your quick reply, however I've spoken to the account manager and am told that our payments are processed only after CH receives payment from their customer. We are still talking back n forth and my hope is that they will be able to improve on current days-to-pay.

I was posting in here to see if there is a pattern with other members, as I do get a bit paranoid when payments suddenly become slow with a broker, especially when there is increased volume.

We do a fair bit with CH montlty there was a bit of a glich with us when they switch to the new system short of that no problems at all. Should one get missed thier always quick to get it figured out for us also.

Thanks for providing your experience Unbeliveable... That's what I'm hoping for, that its just a system glitch that gets resolved soon..

I have completed several shipments with CHR over the past couple of years. They usually pay well, but im seeing a general delay in paying carriers. Even factoring corps are slow to pay in some cases

We do a fair amount with CH Robinson too. Our payments were delayed too. Issues were related to the new system. The website kept registering an "issue" ...although everything was uploaded. We'd upload again and it was a long time with the message "under review"...then they'd come back with "BOL" missing...even though it had already been uploaded. We'd then again upload the "BOL" by itself, (we had been told it was ok to upload everything in one batch). It felt, at the time, like things were being purposely delayed. Although I'm not sure that's the case. It could have just been the new system and getting everyone on side with it. But the good news is that we just started receiving money again and everything is almost caught up. So all is good now.

Still nothing...

Although I had some good conversations with crosgre (Greg at CHR) I guess he doesn't handle the division I am dealing with and could not help out.

My invoices are now nearing 90 days and I have plenty more ageing behind those ones.

I've notified the account manager again by email in hopes of a resolution.

AGREED

Maybe check the postmark on the envelope too. I've noticed a significant delay in the mail.. what used to take 1 week is now taking three and even four weeks.

Yeah, I wanted to check that too, because I had mentioned that the mail I've been receiving from the US has been arriving pretty much about 2 weeks after post-mark... but the mailing system they used didn't seem to put a date on it, so I had nothing to check.

I received this cheque exactly 3 weeks from the date I'm told it was mailed.

Also, in getting some information from CHR, I found that when I originally asked for payment status I was told the payment was 'released' on a certain date. As I dug in deeper to get the details, I was told that the cheque was actually 'mailed' exactly 5 days after the 'release' date.

Plus, when looking at the dates, the day they mailed the cheque, the invoices being paid were already between 59 and 69 days already.

I am surprised that CH Robinson doesn’t offer EFT, or did I miss something? It would sure beat the Canada Post delays.

So, I order Nespresso coffee. It usually comes in 24-72 hours (to my door). My last order, 11 days.
Canada Post is WAY behind right now.

Keep well,
Mike

My wife ordered some hair products and barbers scissors to cut my hair.
Darn, delivered next day by mailmen...
So I'm hiding now, eh..))
