I know I posted about this quite some time ago, but here we go again ...
Is this site going the way of the dodo bird? Doesn't seem like hardly anyone posts anymore.
Are we that boring of an industry? Is there really nothing going on?

Just because you asked nicely, Michael.

Why insurance companies don't recognise a quality of a class A licence for a four wheeler for a purpose of a discount?
Why insurance companies don't combine auto and home policies with a commercial fleet policies for the same purposes above?
When road workers will learn how to place asphalt properly and even around manholes ?
When road signs will start show exit distance counting from the beginning of exit lane and not from the actual exit, to avoid last second lane cutters? Meaning EXIT NOW !
When local municipalities will enforce commercial landlords to place a REALLY visible and lighted ADDRESS signs at the actual enter driveway?
How to explain to some drivers, that they are not welcomed to make a right turn when an opposite vehicles
(especially TRUCKS) making a left on an ARROW sign?

This this just for starters, eh..)

First long weekend...)

I agree, lately there has been little in the way of constructive information going back and forth. I use this site to obtain information (and share it when possible) about carriers double brokering or brokers who are slow or not paying. It also helps to get information on how others in our industry are tackling a difficult issue (ELD, Driver Pay, Driver Inc. etc)

We need to continually see post about who are good carriers, in which lanes and who are the bad carriers (backed up with facts and not conjecture). The last few negative posts turned real ugly and now I think a few people are gun shy to post a valid complaint. If something is posted about you, this isn't the place to battle it out - simply put a post that you will deal with it, call the other party and then either post that it has been rectified or ask the original poster to put something about the way it was handled.

This site was put in place for people to work together towards a common goal. Lets get back to posting.

I have been away on vacation since the start of the month, back end of next week. After that, I will be sure to post some of my usual, broker biased opinions and see what kind of storm we can brew up. Enjoy the weekend.

13 post from Admin with links to news found on other sites today. Seems to be the only activity going on daily.

Yes, it can sometimes be a bit inundating at times to see nothing but ADMIN links to news. Personally I would like to see only one that shows something like "There were 13 posts in NEWS that may be of interest to you".
For the most part, these items are overlooked and any replies or comments on the particular news item are usually lost.

I'm ok with the admin posts since you can delete them on mass without opening them.

there is a "mark forums as read" button at the top to click and then you just confirm on a second button.

It's only worth if ALL other forum is actually read, so a few more stories can be marked like that. But if there is still some or a lot info on this forum not discovered and swallowed then it's a boo boo, gone and mixed up with the one is not interested at the moment...
Just saying, eh...

Supply and Demand? Everyone working from home drops demand for regular, trucks still rolling keeps demand right where it is for diesel.

There's a bunch of other factors I'm sure like Russia, the Saudi's, value of the dollar, etc..

Keep well Igor,
Mike
