their days to pay have gotten slower and slower since 2008, we put them on DNU in July 2016 when they were hitting the 100 day mark, we didn't have a lot of invoices, but just too much bother/risk.

We've only ever done one but that hasn't been paid. We've called the shipper but they say they paid SKN. Still wondering if there's any liability on their part to pay us. I vaguely remember reading something like that but can't remember.
 
in a perfect world?? yes....but it can still put you in a runaround position. I would still go after the shipper, forcefully if possible, you moved the freight, it is their obligation to pay the carrier. good luck.
 
Thanks for the reply. Is that an actual law? I'd like to have that behind me when I speak to them.
 
sorry, that I can't help you with, maybe someone else can jump in here. All I know Logan, is that we have had to go that route, even if you have to involve the consignee as well, you never know who you might shake up??

Sounds good. Hoping someone pipes in with some backing because I like to have my ammunition piled high. Appreciate all your help.
 
Has anyone heard from them this month? We have tried to get paid but no answers.
 
On March 7th, Colleen replied to an email saying that accounting was closed due to Spring Break. She said she'd deal with it the next week when she got back. Other than that, no. Certainly no money.
 
We did call the shipper and SKN was paid. Easy way to make money if you broker loads but keep all the money. Revenue with no expenses. Probably explains the Spring Break vacation.
 
I guess we know how the spring break was financed, no other word but pure theft.
I honestly don't know how they've stayed in business this long, they must pick and choose who they pay.

This won't mean much to people on the list but it is a low number from what we normally see in a bankruptcy.
