Anyone else experience very slow payment terms from Landstar lately?

I have one invoice at nearly 100 days and two others that are well over 60 days...

Cheque has been in the mail for the past 18 days...

Any replies are much appreciated.

Could be a mail issue. Over the last month I've had more cheques go "missing" than I have had in the previous five years. I'm not sure if its my mailman or if its the mail in general.. I'm about to drive my mail to another post office.. btw.. one of those cheques is yours..but won't be anywhere near that long as replacement already sent..

Are you receiving payments directly from Jacksonville... or from an independent office?

Canada Post sucks. We have waited up to 3 weeks for cheques that where sent ( I trust the guy as to when he said he sent it) Then they wonder why people don't want to use them.

I believe our cheques come from Jacksonville... the independent offices or agents seem to be of no help when it comes to tracking down a payment... They are just load bookers...

Canada post is slow, that's for sure... but don't think that's the issue this time around... They mailed it 18 days ago, so they say, but even that puts them over 80 days to get a cheque out...

I'm used to the slow payments from these gigantic brokers, but when it gets to this point I get a bit paranoid... Network FOB was a slow payer for a while, and then they suddenly just stopped paying...

I guess I'm just trying to gauge if I should keep the taps open, or if I should refuse anymore loads til this one is paid... life is a series of gambles eh...

Thanks for the input guys...

Anyone receiving payments as late as this from Landstar lately?

Landstar must have E transfer, Direct Deposit or whatever it's called.
I'm not positive (that's not my sandbox) but they must.
Get yourself set up and cut Canada Post out of the equation!

Thank you sir...

Haahaa... there certainly is a lot of love here for Canada Post... haahaa...

But honestly, even if I got paid by E-Transfer, my payment would have been made around 80 days (when they said they mailed the cheque)...

I'm trying to determine if this was a one-off slow payment, or if there is a trend with other carriers getting paid this slow too...

Just received one payment at 114 days... From what I can tell on this one, it's the agent that acts as a 'log-jam' slowing down the flow of information and paperwork... Last we heard was that the agent had not yet given Landstar approval to pay this bill... We had to hound the crap outta that guy, but looks like he coughed up in the end...
