I thought we had seen everything, I don't know who S&S are or what kind of company they are but when we asked for a Credit App here is their response:

Please cancel this order.
We do not fill out credit apps for carriers

Alarm bells are making my ears bleed. Just like when brokers say they don't work with factors.
 
Sounds like one of those companies whose success is "built on trust". Trust us.......you'll get paid! What next?
 
If it's the same company as the one in Montreal, they pay in 7 days or almost.
Mainly doing business with owner operator and mainly reefer loads.
They've been around for years and are very good.
But, if it's not the same company then, I cannot vouch for them.

It is the same company, they've been around since 78. IIRC Brian Arnott got his start there.

I had the same issue lowmiler. I had not worked with S & S before and I asked them to fill out a credit app and received the same response. I have seen and heard that they are good payers though since from here and others in the industry.

The Snider <sp> family were the original stand up produce load brokers. You could always count on their money. In the event of a load problem, they would back the carrier, provided the carrier was right, every time. They have aways had no problem telling the customer to stick it where the sun don't shine if they were trying to rip the carrier off.

I don't care who they are they need to give some detail, all they have to do is fill out a sheet once with the pertinent info and email that to people. But that's ok if they run their business that way, I'm guessing they say they don't need us the same way we say the same.

We moved four loads of pork for them from the Toronto area to Laredo Texas, between the four loads there was 18 hours of chargeable waiting time. We got nothing, they said "everyone knows you don't get waiting time for meat loads(we sure didn't) so we blocked S&S and we have prospered without them. When they call and ask for one of our reefers..............sorry S&S no trucks for you!

I've dealt with S&S during my career. they have always been good payers. They need BOL signed with in and out times to pay for any detention. but that was the only real issue I ever had with them.

S&S are on our DNU list, they don't pay waiting time anywhere...........We blocked them two years ago and have prospered without them. Drivers need to be paid!

They don't pay waiting time at Furman's or anywhere else we did work for them.......block them before they screw you too.

Noted. The company I am with now...I havent seen them use this company.
Appreciate the concern :)
 
S&S Forwarding Ltd. from Vaughn, ON. Do they still pay on time? Load pending.
