This is a bit weird, thought I would share...

The case of the Cookie Caper, and the Fedex Cookie Monster...

One of our managers wanted to do something nice and arranged to buy $100 worth of Girl Guide cookies from his nephew's daughter, who lives a couple hours away...

In order to get the cookies to our office, we called Fedex and sent them to pickup at the nephew's house...

The nephew has confirmed that Fedex came and picked up, but did not provide a BOL...

It has been a week and there is no sign of the cookies...

We called Fedex, and unfortunately one of our employees spent a substantial amount of time on the phone with them, because Fedex denies that they picked anything up. They have no record of it, even though we have provided them with the Pickup number they're staff gave us when we called in the pickup.

We are waiting to hear back from a manager at the local depot near where the pickup was made...

As this is a pressing matter, we've been talking about this around the office all day, of course... There are many theories, most of which end up with a Girl Guide Cookie Party at the local Fedex...

Just weird...

So, Fedex has given up looking for my cookies and they are washing their hands of it...

Hilariously, the cookies have reappeared!

Apparently, the cookies were packed in a box that had been used before... The box previously contained a child's bike which was shipped to the nephew's mother's house... And the old shipping label ( a non-fedex label by the way... ) was still on the box...

The cookies were redelivered to the nephew's mother's house, as her address was on the shipping label...

So...

- Fedex driver picks up our cookies and leaves no BOL
- Fedex driver then holds on to the cookies for about a week, and then delivers them to the address on the label, which was not a fedex label...
- Fedex customer service has absolutely no record of having picked this up and claim that it never happened...

Anyway... now that the cookies are back at the nephew's house, you guessed it, we sent in Fedex to pick them up.... haahahaaa....

Guess if we don't get them this time, it's our fault...
