Ok... So, here we are at 71 days now...

Cheque was apparently mailed 10 days ago now... from a place that is a mere 1 hour drive away...

I would have driven there myself by now to bang on their door, but of course it is a PO BOX!

This, after I was told the invoice would be paid back on March 7, which of course it was not...

I called Gabe again. He seemed to forget that we talked last Tuesday and that he told me that the payment was mailed last Monday...

I told him I would call his customer on Monday if I do not get paid, as my invoice will then be at 75 days... He didn't seem bothered by that at all, in fact he suggested I call them right away, which was pretty weird...

I contacted his customer and educated him on the Mercantile Law Amendment Act...

I'll be filing in small claims next week if payment is not received by then.

Too many excuses, doesn't seem to care... I don't need to waste my time hounding the crap out of someone for $750 !

Cheque has been received today at 77 days...

It is interesting to note, the 'post mark' on the envelope was March 27... Of course, the cheque is also dated March 27...

So...

This cheque was printed and mailed on Monday this week, two days ago...

Not March 13, when Gabe said he mailed it... and not March 7, when Gabe originally said it would be paid...

It would appear that Gabe had no intention of paying me, until such time as I made contact with his customer and threatened action in small claims court...

And yes, all this for $750...
