Montreal Express Transport

They picked up a LTL load on Wednesday for us to be delivered on Thursday - NO SLEEPER was indicated on all paperwork. They loaded with a sleeper and Thursday was told it was delivered when in fact it was not. Today is Friday and we are trying to reach them and of course they are avoiding our phone calls and emails. I asked for the owner's name to be told, they do not know, it's a group. Amanda told us they are open 24/7. They just don't answer their calls when you call. This LTL was a 3 stop - they did the 1st stop Thursday at 4pm and the other 2 are still sitting somewhere.......Finally Friday afternoon Ken finally agreed to give me the drivers number. When I called the driver he informed me that he was told it was a one stop and that he is a first time broker for them. After negotiations with the driver, we were able to convince them directly to deliver Saturday morning. I can tell you, Montreal Express will NOT be doing any loads for us. All our paperwork indicates not to broker our loads.

I have to agree with Chica123 ,that it doesn't seem to be drivers fault.
Without knowing all the details and maybe I read your post wrong CG group, however booking a 3 drop LTL with a Wednesday PU and delivery Thursday, is setting yourself up for a service failure. Sorry but can't blame a carrier for that one.
Blame the double brokering , YES.... Not delivering all 3 drops next day is your fault.

There seems to be quite a bit of complaints about a specific person at CG group. there are other postings as well. One of dispatchers has had issues with her also about 2 months ago. very rude!!!!! They were placed on DNU list.

We have those loads every week - pick up on Wednesday and deliver on Thursday - with no issues.

To HT Collections.... who was rude?

It was about 2 months ago. A person with a french accent. I actually dealt with 2 ladies the same day and both were short fused. Have a look at some other threads about CG . You need to offer your carriers a little more money and be a little kinder, so all the parties can be happy. If you want better service, pay the carriers for that service. Carriers need to make money too!!!!

Must of been a very busy day but that's no excuse :) Price we offer is what we are and were given by carriers. Happy Thanksgiving!

First load I gave Montreal Express Transport was to pick up on Oct. 5th. They never did and said they'd do it on the 6th. Then on the 6th, Amanda told us that they had no truck. I put the on DNU list until a man named Paul told me that she was no longer with them and he was trying to fix their mistakes. So I gave him a load and he asked for quick pay. I agreed but upon reception of the originals by mail. So, Ella faxed us the invoice and sent us an e-mail to confirm. Again replied to send us by mail. Yesterday she told us that they'd take legal actions and get the shipper and receiver to pay. So I called and Amanda answered. What a rude, arrogant and unprofessional woman! Basically called me a liar when I told her we haven't received it, she wouln't send the invoice by mail, and told me that the shipper and receiver will pay. At this point my blood pressure is off the charts! Then Ken (or Keith) calls to confirm that he send the demand to small claims court and shipper and receiver would be getting something from them. Again, arrogant and condescending.
Note that this invoice is now 16 days old! And all this for a $570.00 invoice! JUST SEND IT BY MAIL!!!
Never again, DNU for life! I'd rather have a root canal!

Funny,
We had similar problems with Paolo (OR maybe Andre acting as Paolo) at Trans Inter - WOW! Needless to say on my DNU List.

Stating facts are just fine, but keep it professional please, remember you represent the transportation community here - show people how we can fix issues and remain professional at all times.

Keep well, keep it clean,

I have no knowledge of either party in this dispute, nor, in my mind, have the details been properly explained. It might be helpful if "operations" could explain their company policy regarding 'quick pay". It seems obvious that there is some confusion, at least on the part of "htcollections" and now "QueenD". I believe I speak for most of the members of this site when I say, we aren't really all that interested in individual spats between 2 companies over service failures or slow payment. What we are interested in, is are these regular occurrences and as such, should we be concerned about dealing with either party in the future. So, is this a one time mix-up, or is there a recurring history of discounts taken long past the agreed time?

It happened 3 times for us with them. Why wouldn't TRANS INTER accept documents by courier? if not by email.

I am up to 15 loads since December 2014. Not a huge account for us. Still paying at about 35 days. But they still request the Original P.O.D.s They offered Quick pay but the fee was 5 points ( a little higher than normal)
