Hello,

Looking for any references on this company out of Oshawa - TTR Transport. I have seen their trucks  and I see they haul many Wheels trailers?

The the only thing I know is these Wheels tailers to do not belong to iWheels the Logistics division. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I've been giving TTR freight since the days before anyone had authorities. And they used to invoice for a portion of the freight with Toronto Truck Rentals and another part with a Driver Service (I can't recall the name (Unique Personnel maybe)). Trucking was fun back then.

I will continue to give them freight whenever our freight and their equipment matches up.

OMG...Dart....OK that company I know not to touch or go near....crooks! TTR, sounds good, ok we can go forward. Thanks everyone for you references...much appreciated as always!

TTR and IWheels were bought by Dart Transit I believe late 2009, maybe early 2010. Dart Transit is a pretty big carrier in the US and I guess they decided not to convert to Dart but use the TTR name.

I've used TTR for years but not lately. I usually found that they were great on pu, but were spotty on delivery.

Hi theman.....Dart in the USA (as you referred to) has no relationship to DART, that is owned by a Mr. A. Donnelly here in Toronto. Since my inquiry, I can't tell you how many people have told me to stay clear of DART who I was just told are loacated at 280 Belfield Rd.

In fact, someone very high up at Wheels just informed me of some insightful information about the purchase of Wheels (assest based) and how that unfolded with DART, Mr Donnelly and as well the realationship of DART and TTR....yes as Shakey said, DART did one over on TTR as well....anyway TTR is good still at the end of the day.

From what I was told, Wheels was going to actually just fold up iWheels because they were bleeding a lot of money at one point. I didn't know it was a different Dart that bought them, I'm thinking for close to nothing ...

Hi Nawk

TTR was bought by Travelers a while ago

I used them about 5-6 time a week.

Now more once a week - my loads are time sensitivie ( paper going on press )

Once, Kevin was on vacation and had to deal with Terry - our load stayed 3 days on their yard! Why? we don't know and probably never will. And Kevin takes forever to answer our tracing request. When calling, we have hard time to reach him....

Usually does a great job - but cannot take any chances with my PA load!

Cheers!

Thanks for the info. I sort of drifted away from TTR since Steve I. left. Last I'd heard he was at Executive... not sure where he is now. TTR used to always good work... But this last one they did for me went bad in a big way.

Thanks for sharing your info.

I may be wrong, but i think it was Wheels Group that acquired TTR

Toronto, Ontario, Canada. - August 14th 2009 - DART Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. today completed the acquisition of iWheels Dedicated Logistics. Financials terms of the deal are not being disclosed.

Went ugly after this but can't find more on how TTR got involved after

Yes it was very ugly, information I will withold,on another note, my sources advised that TTR was not bought by Travelers in Brampton? Strange. Either way, we never had any issues with TTR back in Feb of this year.

Travelers was never involved. The Dart thing definitely went ugly though.

You typically see TTR trucks hauling iWheels low-boy trailers. Dart never restenciled them.

TTR always was in big time with AGS Automotive, but they were also doing for-hire work in particular on the ON-QC lane but a few others as well when Steve owned it. But now they are almost completely devoted to automotive.

Even years ago, I found that on pick-up they were always good, but on delivery in Ontario, if it wasn't dedicated you needed to be on top of them because they'd screw them up sometimes.

Try driving to Windsor and you won't go more than 10-15 minutes without seeing one of their trucks.

I do believe Steve still owns it............go it back when Dart did not pay any money.
