Does anybody have any information on the wherabouts of these 2 new Canadian clowns, they are the partner/owners of Cargo Care Logistics , they have an oustanding invoice from December, all numbers are out of service and office is closed

Can't find that joker on Facebook.

The other cat, Syed Haider Abbas, is another story. There's a politician with exactly the same name as him in Pakistan and like 6 others with his name. He seems to be a bit of an enigma. There's another dude named Syed Haider Abbas Rizvi and another dude named Syed Haider Abbas Abdi so I wonder if he deliberately left off another name. It may not be his complete name.

Thanks Noproblembuddy, the problem is that these "new Canadians" all use the same name and I believe for the very reason that I am having this problem trying to locate these guys within the Indian community, I do not have a bias bone in my body but after this fiasco with these 2 crooks trying to locate them 2 get paid we will not do anymore business with any East Indian trucking or freight broker company. I am sorry if I offend anybody with my remarks or comments but 32 years of running an honest business and then have to deal with these characters that set up shop and screw the honest business person then hide within their own community like the snakes that they are. I have had it with these people, I am sure there are the honest East Indian companies around but I have yet to find one. It's Friday enough venting for this week.

I don't blame you one bit Dave. I scrutinize any company with only "certain" references - you know are family members or not legitimate businesses. Any reference you call that answers the phone "hello" - that is a pass. They are all the same - and yes...with the same name. It does make them hard to find. I always ask for a large carrier/broker reference for payment - never just the ones they provide. And if they can't come up with anybody but Gupta/Rajinder/Sangeet Trucking - forget it....keep doing business with them - not us....

I am also pressed for finding one good one to deal with - again - nothing racial behind it - just stating facts and past experience.

You certainly aren't the only one who is fed up or agrees with your comments.

Thank you for your response and you are correct I am sure we cannot be the only company having these issues with these people, We chalk it up to a good learning experience and to be proactive when working off the load board, have great weekend TGIF

I'm not sure that "we're not dealing with any more East Indian transportation companies" or "these people" are fair comments.

I also feel uncomfortable that a 'moderator' encourages it.

I deal with a lot of companies (we broker about 1200 shipments a month) there are good and bad whether they're white, brown, black or yellow... I don't care as long as the job gets done... done well... and everyone is satisfied.

Remember Tim Armstrong... everyone wanted that guys head on a stick. Did anyone say... "That's it... I'm not dealing with white guys any more".

Don't get me wrong Dave... if you're ripped off and these guys disappeared... they're scum - without a doubt.

Scum comes in all colours my friend.

"Agreeing" and "encouraging" are two seperate entities here Nawk. Read into my comment what you will....

We can all have an opinion here. And I think that in the case of DWC - you just get fed up - you've had enough of the same "crap" with certain situations/companies over and over again - that you end up in a "rant". I have had those days - for the exact same reason.

I don't have the power of choosing who we do business with. But as I stated - I can only try my best to ensure we are working with good ethical companies. And also noted - past experience dictates which companies I know from the "get go" won't pan out - based on the "basic" credit information.

One can only go by experience. And to each his own. If DWC doesn't want to work with certain companies - his choice. And one he is entitled to.
 
Check with their insurance broker and see if they cancelled their policy. You might be able to veil your inquiry with some bogus reason, like you're verifying their policy and if they have an alternate contact number or address on file because you need to contact them. You can suggest that they've moved and since they have a policy, ask where they moved to. You may be able to glean some information that way, if possible.

Also try their trade references (including their bank) and approach their shippers/consignees for payment. You may find they probably double-brokered everything.
 
When I was with my last company, we followed up one of the references which happened to be TD Bank. The reference was very positive. It later turned out that it was a cousin that worked at the bank. So not even bank references can be trusted sometimes :(

The Man, You are correct. these names are not even Indian. These are middle eastern names.
 
Thank you all for your responses and opinions as each one of us are entitled to them. This great country that we live in gives us that right. In response to the opinion of those thinking that I am acting on a "race thing" as that would be the farthest from the truth. I have dealt with many freight brokers and carriers over the years and have been treated fairly and paid for our services no matter what race they may have been. We have had to go after our money 3 times in the last 5 years and all being East Indian companies. That is why I said "I am getting tired of dealing with these clowns and hiding in their own community". Yes East Indian - I am not sure why they have those particular names but I do know they are East Indians as they rented an office right beside another broker that we have dealt with right next door and they have confirmed the turbin headware. We always do our checks and balances before we do business with any company no matter what race. It just happens we have had bad luck with them after doing all of the proper credit checks and that is why I refuse to do any more business with them and I have that right.
