More interesting (to us anyways) is the fact that 'Service Plus Transportation' was listed in the notice, meaning Tony was somehow associated with them.

A year or so before the GHK/Kingston fiasco, Service Plus Transportation double brokered a CH Robinson load to us from PA, took quick-pay from CH Robinson and then disappeared without us being able to collect.
 
LOL! I was reading that decision and they even mentioned Shiney Express as having been used as a precedent in law. It's pure comedy when carriers with the stupidest names are immortalized as examples in legal history.

An MTO officer told me that if you have more than one CVOR and one of them has a lousy rating because of an audit, any other CVOR you are responsible for will eventually be linked to that lousy CVOR. So, somehow, Gionfriddo was able to reincarnate despite having a no diligence to safety...and even tried defending that ignorance with some kind of Sgt. Schultz routine. New applications should be checked against a list of those who have not paid fines and who have otherwise flouted the law to prevent these things from continuing. Of course, people who know any law better than anyone else are usually the ones who either enforce it or ones who abuse it. It's time to close that loophole that lets guys like that flourish, if only briefly until they are caught or the threat of public endangerment turns into an actual crash.
 
yes I was burned pretty badly by this character before Chistmas. I gave him a load anticipating that the carrier authorities he sent me was hauling the freight -- I paid the factoring house in record time and then I get a call from the carrier that actually did the load looking for payment only to find out he had double brokered the load and then vanished. I know that there are plenty of people looking for this character and hopefully justice will prevail for all of us both transport and logistics
 
Tony is like a bad smell, he just won't go away...

My first dealings with him were when he called his gig "GFS", or Gionfriddo Freight Systems.

He was doing inside deliveries for furniture stores, and he was the same kind of person then, as he is now.

Maybe there needs to be a "Tony Sighting" thread, to ensure that no one else gets robbed by this guy when he turns up again with yet another new company name.

I agree 100% but how do people like this continue to get away with this and in turn make the rest of us look bad !!
 
yes I got that the couple of times I talked to him on the phone and his tone and threats. they do say what goes arouind comes around..
 
A couple of well placed calls with the MTPS could help anyone collecting then I would assume. They are not going to like it knowing that he is dropping their positions within the MTPS as a way of avoiding debts I would think. Just something to think about for anyone trying to collect :)

I feel if you have a problem with the company, then talk about the company. I think we should not talk about him personnally. His personnal life should not be posted on this site or your opinions of how you feel about him. Let keep it business.

Tony has PERSONALLY screwed lots of folks over the years, using different company names as "alias".
Heck he was just exposed again with yet another name , Toronto Transportation Services.

What is your motive in defending this guy??

Hey Maggs,

I am a victim too, I took him into the court system and still trying to get my money. There comes a time when you have to cut your losses and move on. If he is using another company name, it is posted and you know it, then just do not use them.

We all have to work together.
