Hi
Can anyone recommend a great carrier that can service a load with a 53' trailer. Load weighs 54,000 lbs from Chatsworth, CA to Rexdale?
Thank you

Hi< the client would prefer as 1 - FTL of course, but I did advise that the alternate option may be as 1 - FTL + LTL shipment due to capacity of equipment as in Lack of Tri axles in CALI.

OH ROB sorry should I have said with a tri axle?

Unless this is one big piece that cannot be broken down you are really showing inexperience in this business.

Most US states have an 80,000 lb max weight limit for trucks. That is truck, trailer, load, driver, fuel etc.

Bailey,

Sorry to come off harsh if this is - but this is something that really drives me nuts and I see it all the time when a broker knows nothing about this business (like basic weight restrictions). I see these kinds of posting at least a couple times a month. If you want to be in the business at least learn the basic rules. We all learn new things about trucking all the time - but tridems in California!!!!

Got to agree with Rob. These are things that should be known.

Hi Rob....well aren't you just a gentleman......

First - we are not a broker and we do not service California, so excuse me for reaching out to "other" members for some assistance. You are the example of "carriers" being each others worst enemy and not working together.

If you re-read my post - it then said "will move as FTL for legal weight issues" and then the other portion of the load would move as LTL.

Bailey,

I did go back and read your post and I was typing mine as yours went through. That being said - never did you say anything about legal weight for one. You said customer would prefer full but may have to take full and ltl because of lack of tridems in Cali. (I read that as you where searching all day and just couldn't find one so I will post on IST and get a good lead).

And number two - if you are a carrier - that makes your tridem statement all the worse.

As far as carriers working together - I play just fine with the other kids in the sandbox. Especially the ones that have a basic knowelge of the business they are involved in. You know - the ones that know a fifth wheel from a steering wheel and basic weight restrictions.

Hi Rob.....so what is a fifth wheel? LOL..OMG get out of the sandbox before you beocme too full of yourself. Have a great day "pure" gentleman. You're a true example of lack of.

Rob does the following:

Provides well above average service
Communicates when there is a problem
Is reasonable with accessorial charges
Delivers on time
Provides Invoice and POD under 2 weeks after delivery (always) - I got one today 11 days after delivery.
Is kind enough to take the time to help educate his peers (even though it's not always well received).

Hats off to you Rob, keep well.

Mike

Bailey, I am sure that your original intention was to seek out some assistance from this site for a load you had available. It is unfortunate that your request was not as well worded as it could have been, or as ripe with errors regarding US weight limitations and allowable trailer configurations. Next time, double check your facts and figures so that you can get the response you're looking for. Some days we're a pretty "testy" bunch on this site and it doesn't take much to set us off.

Sorry, Bailey...maybe you were having an off day but maximum weights and dimensions are the basics.
....must side with Rob here.

FYI

Member "Bailey" wanted their account deleted from the forum - this has been done.

Therefore this thread is now irrelevant as Bailey started the original topic. This has been closed off.

Thank you
