We have worked for them and they have hauled loads for us....no issues whatsoever. Payment from them is around 45 days.

I'm not sure if they still are, but they were known to be a related company to FLS in that FLS owned a piece of them. If there was back-dooring, it's probably through that channel.
Their service seemed OK to me whenever I saw them on freight of mine.

I don't disagree with Freight17. We lost an account to them too. Had hired them several times on the freight. We suspected they back doored us about 2 years ago.
We will never use them again. Funny for all the freight they did with us they stopped caling us for ANY freight around the same time.
No morals. Big company too. Eleven million in sales or so last year or something like it.

When will carriers and brokers realize that you lose money when you back solicit...
1) Shippers who switch to back solicitors will also switch to the next guy that comes along with a lower rate.
2) the broker/carrier you back solicited will never use you again for anything. In our case it could have been tens of thousands that we would have used them for each year going forward. Not now...
3) word spreads quickly on industry blogs and you lose more potential business
It is difficult to estimate a number, but back soliciting can cost you thousands or hundreds of thousands in future business and ultimately your reputation.

Make sure everyone is talking about the right Keltic. There is a Keltic Transport and a Keltic Transportation. Keltic Transportation is in Moncton, NB and the larger of the two companies.

I did not know there was 2 we have only dealt with Keltic Transportation NOT Transport and again never any issues with Keltic Transportation.
My comment above was also about Keltic Transportation. Did not know there were 2 Keltic's. Keltic Transportation in Moncton is the only one I have dealt with. I have never had any issues. If the bad comments above are regarding Keltic Transport in Dieppe, NB we have never used them.
