Good to go!

We actually have an ltl shipment of theirs on our truck as we speak.
Have done this recurring shipment several trimes in last few months and never had to call for a check, it has always been on time.
I would recommend them.

Question

Good evening,

Thanks for the good feedbacks. We try to be as timed as possible and we value our suppliers and they give us back what we're looking for: quality transportation for our customers.

I have a question though, which is my thoughts for quite a bit now. I find a lot of carriers looking for ways to gather valid infos on brokers but few if none have asked us directly for references. Is this because you would think they can be easily tweaked and do not value our infos as much? Then why not ask over phone of companies we have used in your neighborhood. Good brokers would only be proud on giving you the extra care to be sure you feel safe with them. I would have no problem on giving 10 references or more if need be.

I acutally feel that a good proportion of carriers do not protect themselves at all when dealing with brokers and then blame everyone but them when they fall in the hands of a rotten apple. What do you think?

I think there are way more ''rotten apples'' than good ones. There isin't much a carrier can do to protect themselves when haulin a load. Pretty much every load we may not be paid for. This is why we come out here, do a little search and go with people and companies that at least have a good rep with other people in the bizz.

References can be bought, credit history can be ''arranged'' ,but reputation is gold...

I think people make the mistake of taking D&B as the bible. Generally, a D&B will give you an accurate picture of a larger company but not of a smaller one. And also, some companies (not just load brokers even) tend to pay different trades, expenses etc on different cycles.

Really, the only way is once you find the ones you can trust, try to keep closer to them.

Brokers want to do the same with carrier partners. If there is no collaboration and no real relationship, ultimately the service isn't there.

As the others have said, references are ok but are provided directly by the company whose info we are seeking... People use this site because they have some level of trust with the regular users of this site. I always check a company out here in addition to other places when asked by my dispatch team about a specific company. Also, when I am having problems collecting from a company, I post the information here so others can see how a company has interacted in the past.

By the way, I did two loads for this company this year and both times I was paid after only making a single call to check on payment status.
