They have had Lawsuits, collections etc, this year, anyone know if they are having trouble in the financial department?

If you look at their Equifax numbers, it looks like they are doing like double the business vs 2008, so they clearly have business. Their payment trend is awful. Nearly half of their payables are just outside what would be considered current. That might suggest a cashflow problem this quarter.

I caught them double brokering freight a year ago so I am sure that is how they doubled their business!!!

Will never deal with them again. They are not only late payers with no communication from A/P - their dispatchers are horrible to deal with also.
They nickel and dime the rate and then come up with any excuse not to pay the full amount agreed upon. They short paid our invoices due to "service failures" which was the fault of their own dispatch and lack of communication. We argued with them for a month - even with emails as backup - proving them at fault - they would not pay.

Save yourself the hassle people and avoid this company altogether....

At least they don't hide what they are. They advertise themselves as a freight broker and freight broker only on their website.

The info is out of date but if you go through it and go to the careers section, it mentions how they hire freight brokers that basically can just run with it -- no rules.

Probably some of their people are actually selling to customers, others are doing the G Roch/old Rockman type of thing.

I worked there for 3 years and I would suggest not to deal with them. They will cut your invoice for any reason. And do not believe that they are having a cash flow problem Eric Boyko is a silent owner and he has money, they are always looking to make a little more profit. If you do any work for them make sure you ask to be paid COD via Comcheck which they do and they also have the cash flow to give you a fuel advance.

Well...that is confirmed from my last post. Straight from a former employee....

Thanks for posting that - very useful information....

We still do a bit for them, some LTL here and there.

We deal with the downtown office on McGill.

Did not know they double brokered freight.

They used to have an office across he street on from the L'acadie Market on L'Acadie Blvd., and were heavily involved in Produce. That is why they offered quick settlememnts and COMCHECKS.

Never had any payment problems though, the check is always ready 30 days after delivery and they hold the check at reception if need be.

They do not have any trucks they double broker all freight. There affilated with Lessard 2000 and Groupe Mapp, but its just affililates

Thanks Gdunk

Did not know about the affiliation.

Never saw Lessard post a load in our lanes until 6 months ago. Decided to give them a try. Bad decision.

It was an ltl in Sc. towards Lachute. Took 4 hours to laod because the dispatch details were all wrong.
Our driver went by the building 3 times without knowing it was the one we were looking for.
Name on building was wrong. Address was wrong and phone number was wrong.
Dispatch was looking into it, but never got back to us. Driver went to fire station and could not find the place.
Incompetence to the nth degree.

Then payment was in the 100 day range!!!
