Dear Puttingintime,
Once again, please tell me who you are so I can contact you and help you in some way. Or, like most people on this site, if you will not divulge your identity, please call me 450-692-0444 or 514-913-3480.
You conveniently forgot the second part of my message today to Jeff Lahay at Accutrac Financing, "Truthfully, we are trying to avoid this at this time (brankruptcy) and make deals with as many suppliers as we can". Anonymous postings are so easy to manipulate with omissions but I can't blame you because you are frustrated, and with every right.
I am not hiding anything from any vendors about the unfortunate situation (yes, unfortunate - for me personally whose personal losses in this failed business will probably top $350,000.00 (my lifes savings AND future income) and for those carriers who granted us credit, only to find the company does not have the resources to pay) but despite this fact, I have almost repaid a couple of suppliers from my ongoing business in Ashron Freight Servics Inc., even though I have no legal responsibility to do so. And I will continue to do this for those that work with me. For those that can't wait and have to sue our shippers and consignees, what can I do? Banks don't give mortages on homes mortaged to the hilt . . .
My point is that despite the fact this business if full of bad brokers and transports who don't care and will screw other carriers without thinking, this is not the case with Ashron Transport. We (I) invested money, sweat and now tears and if the economy hadnt been so bad for the first 2 years of our business and if we hadnt made some questionable decisions, perhaps we could have weathered the big blow we had in December. The fact is, our hole is now just too big to get out of.
That is why for those carriers reading this site, I ask that you understand that Ashron Freight Services Inc. will continue working into the future as we are an international freight forwarder and truck broker. We are financially secure and because we do not have the expenses of an asset-based carrier like Ashron Transport does, there is little risk that the money that comes in from a client to pay for a load will go anywhere other than to the carrier that did that load. Further, any and all of the profits I make for some time will go to pay back vendors who lost money with my other failed company - who else do you know who will do this? No RRSP's, no RESP's , no fancy cars, vacation homes or wasted money. I am running the operation as slim as I can so I make the most I can to pay people back. How much and how fast, I can't say, but the commitment is there. What more can I do? I am even open for suggestions.
I regret what has happened and if I was rich man, I would just write cheques to all our vendors and write it off to a bad experience, but dont have that kind of money so my only choice is to earn more to pay more off.
Anyway, whoever you are, call me if you like - my number is above.
Carriers, if you see Ashron Freight Services posting loads in the coming weeks, please dont automatically ignore them becuase of the name association with Ashron Transport. I could just change my name to "hide" and try to trick you into taking my loads, but I am honest and have nothing to hide. Ashron is named after my kids Ashley and Aaron and I dont want to give up on the name. If you see my posts, call me, we can make payment arrangements until an honest rapport is established. I have always and will continue to do business with my clients AND vendors based on mutual respect.
