Randy @ Beyond has done about 10 or so shipments for us in the last 8 months. All have gone well, for the longer haul shipments system shows shipments arrived earlier than scheduled.

Would highly recommend. Strong communicator too (as per the notes in the system).

Keep well,
Mike

Thanks everyone for the info. Guess my situation is a one off or the start of something not to good. Gave them a partial load last Wednesday to load on Friday truck was late unloading and missed pick up. They were going to load it Monday and truck delayed again. They finally got a truck there Yesterday and because it was 2 small machines (bobcats) which they knew when given the load the driver left with out the load said he didn't want to drive them on the trailer. I got no phone calls about this and trying to track it this morning they finally admitted it was not picked up. I now have one psssssssssssssd customer.

Why would a driver be responsible to load skid steers? I would and could do it in a second but there's countless drivers out there that can barely tie their boot laces let alone operate a skid steer with zero training.

Loading skid steers is the shippers responsibility.

Ralph I have hauled equipment for 30 yrs now and the only place anyone ever loaded a machine on my truck was at one of the factories. When I gave them the load they knew it was machinery and that it was at an auction house and they will not drive a machine onto a trailer. They should have known the driver was not capable of loading himself. 90% of the places you go the driver is responsible for loading and unloading his machine or machines. When I hire drivers one of the first questions is if they can load and unload themselves. If they can't or don't feel like learning I don't hire them Because 90 % of my business is moving equipment.

Just an update here:

After many broken promises, lies and excuses I had to get another carrier to move this partial load for me. I gave these guys 4 attempts to move this load and every time it was a different lie or excuse. I think I gave them every opportunity to prove themselves and rectify the situation and they failed badly. THEY ARE NOW ON MY DNU LIST.
