Rangi brothers

Brampton

I've never heard of them before, but the Brampton portion of that question, should guide you, away from them.

First of all, what does Brampton have anything to do with being a bad carrier or a broker? Dis-honest carriers and brokers can be found in any city.

Now back to the original question. We've dealt with Rangi Brother Logistics (RB Logistics) in the past and find them pleasant to deal with. If you're going to haul for them, then you'll get your money within 60 days, and if you're giving them a load, then you'll get good service.

Hope this helps.

I have given them freight off and on since 2007.

Checking the load notes reveals that there has never been an issue with service or equipment.

I would use them again.

Seeds of Prejudice

I agree that Brampton has had more than it's fair share of dodgy freight brokers and carriers, as has Montreal, and Vancouver. However, refusal to even consider doing business with another business solely for the reason of their particular location, seems to be short sighted and would probably lead to lost opportunities to generate revenue. Whether your the business owner or an employee, developing a prejudice about businesses or people, is in my humble opinion, self limiting. The normal course of due diligence should uncover those that one would prefer to stay away from.
Considering that we're located in Brampton, I would like to consider our brokerage one of the needles in that haystack.

Don't get your knickers in a knot

I know a few decent guys in Brampton, but if you can't locate any info on someone new, you need to have a little bit of a gut instinct, and my gut would certainly way on the side of safety, and pass on this one. Brampton seems to be located in the center of cargo theft, immoral business practices etc. You can't rip anyone a new one for guarding themselves and their businesses against theft etc. Its practical and smart business. If you're willing to go willy nilly, and take anyone on their word, well then I have a piece of land to sell you down in Florida.

Freightpimp,

You seem to have gone off tangent here and open with stating "the obvious". If you don't want to deal with "Brampton"...then by all means....steer clear. But certainly don't negate another member dealing with a Brampton company. The original post was to obtain payment information. Not a geographical "put down" on your part - against a company whom another member had no issues dealing with.

Immoral business practices occur on a daily basis - in all cities. Big or small - unfortunately someone...somewhere...is being wronged, undercut or taken advantage of. And with a forum name like "Freightpimp" - you can agree with me on that one....

Once again - we all make daily decisions who to deal with in this business - choose wisely...

The Rangi Brothers

Thanks for the positive feedback from those of you who did. They seem very polite and professional. They are doing one of my shipments so needed the feedback as I was not familiar with them as you Ontario Brokers/Carriers might be.

And to make a comment on some of the other feedback, I have had the pleasure of doing business with several trucking companies out of Brampton and from my experience have never had any problems.

Thanks again for the feedback

We haven't used them for over a year but not because of conditional CVOR.

The not dealing with Brampton -- boy, we know where that's coming from. It's not the right way to be.

Rangi are on ALERT in the Fatigued Driving (Hours-of-Service) category of the CSA 2010 BASIC score at 65.2 %. That means the may be targeted for roadside inpections and intervention. I would take that into consideration if they wanted to pull my freight.

We got stiffed by someone in Pickering does that mean you are a looser too? Brampton, Montreal, and Vancouver are the three biggest trucking markets in Canada and you think the odds of finding a good carrier in Brampton is a needle in a haystack? You are either brainless, or new to this business to make that type of broad statement.

Thank you for the personal attack. Very mature of you.

As I have stated MANY times, Brampton is (for me) the hub of deadbeat brokers who do not pay. The majority of the brokers on my DNU are from Brampton. I do have a few well respected and paying brokers from Brampton, but very few.

I know there are SOME good brokers and carriers in Brampton who do pay and who do good work, I am not painting them with the same brush. Unfortunately the bad ones far out number the good ones. I am referring more to the brokers than the carriers, if you had read what I wrote clearly, you would have seen that.

If you are a carrier who does good work, or a broker who pays, and you are in Brampton, then what have you got to worry about?

Brampton

There are more trucking companies in the city of Brampton than anywhere else in Canada....with that many companies there will always be bad ones....but as I deal quite a bit with these companies I will say there are very many more good ones than bad ones...

Rangi Brothers/RB Logistics

Well, my load got delivered, no problems, again, very professional to work with, nice and pleasant. For a first time using them, can't complain, would use them again.
