On Jan. 20 at 6:00PM, the NTBA is hosting a dinner meeting at the Red Rose Convention Centre, 1233 Dixie Rd. The topic for this meeting is "$2.00/lb maximum carrier liability - where does that leave the broker"? The speaker will be Louis Amato-Gauci of the Aird Berlis Law Firm. Further information can be obtain by visiting the NTBA web site - www.ntba-brokers.com. This should be of interest to the freight broker community and carriers as well. Admission is free for NTBA members, $45.00 for members guests and $55.00 for non-members.

The latest info has approx. 40-45 people attending tonights meeting. Anyone interested should visit the website to be sure there are still spaces available. Myself and some of my operations staff are going. Hey, there's always something new to learn in this business.

Just a reminder for those members interested in learning more about insurance and how it affects both you and your customers, the NTBA is hosting a dinner with representatives from the insurance industry. The date is next Thursday, April 12 at Le Treport Convention Centre 1075 Queensway Ave. east. NTBA members are free and guests are $60.00.
