Northbound Logistics Etobicoke

Our accounts department called the consignee since we had no response from Northbound, Come to find out they double brokered the shipment with the 3PL that takes care of the consignee's trucking, they basically told us that they paid Northbound so it is our problem now, We also called Link Logistics and found that they are still a paying customer and are still using Link to conduct business

That's just great! They say"they paid Northbound so it is our problem now". Well ... ain't necessarily so - if you make it "their" problem.

You could download and fill out the small claims court "Plaintiffs Claim" documents, but just not file them with the courts for now. Then fax the consignee a copy with a demand for payment quoting the "Mecantile Act" as your basis for claim, and indicate that if payment in full is not received within a reasonable period of time - 72 hours - then they will be filed and served upon them. I'd be willing to bet that the consignee will reconsider their position on this matter.
