Does anyone know what is going on with Loft Logistics, two days ago they had a 78 D&B rating, and a 1 & 5 on Equifax which is about the best credit on the Link. Then I recieve a bankrupcy letter from Loft's lawyers on June 24th. I go to check thier credit again on the Link and they have already been removed from the members list. Can't see them anymore, is Link hiding something? They usually take months to completely remove bankrupt companies from the members list. Seems very weird to me.

Look up Rush courrier systems, D & B pay index 46 slow 50 days. Just got a letter from Rush they cant meet their financial obligations and are shutting down. I know they owe a couple carriers money from last October/09

The Problem with D&B and Equifax

The problem with D&B and Equifax is they are only as good as:

[1] the information they obtain voluntarily by reporting carriers, and

[2] public court filings

If someone wanted to manipulate the D&B Equifax figures, they would pay the factoring companies and large reporting carriers (Transforce, Day & Ross, etc) fast as they are the companies that report.

If XYZ Broker takes 5 months to pay you, but pays Day & Ross within 14 days, he will show up with an excellent credit rating.

Link has no input into the stats that appear in the D&B and Equifax boxes.

Anyone attend the creditors meeting today in Richmond Hill? If so what happened? What did Labrash have to say for himself?

Scam Chaser hit the nail on the head with his post of June 25. It is up to all of us to report to D & B or Equifax so that their data base is more accurate and up-to-date. We make a habit of reporting monthly to D&B on all of our customers, both the good ones and the bad. The good customers get the advantage of a better credit score and the bad ones receive the low score they deserve. Hopefully this low score will be the one you see when they come calling on you for transportation services after we have shown them the door!
