Have dealt with Raj for a few years, never an issue he does not own Speedway.

We have done work for them in the past, but nothing recent.
They usually paid in 45 -60 day, although, sometimes we would have to call them.

Anyone dispatch freight to SGL?
Sera Global Logistics was inquiring about some of our loads today. When we asked for his WSIB he said he didn't have any employees, all drivers were temps.
Has anyone dispatched freight to these guys and how did it go? I'm concerned about double brokering.
PS - I've merged all the comments about this company to this thread.
Any references regarding him as a "carrier" would be appreciated.

So does that mean all his drivers are incorporated contractors OR that he hires them from a driver/temp service? Wouldn't the driver/temp service have to have comp on them?

I've dealt with them only as a load broker. I don't think he's a carrier at all and certainly doesn't have any record of registered as Sera Global Logistics with the US DOT. As far as I am concerned, I think he's only a load broker. Some brokers trick customers by representing themselves as carriers in order to get business.

The Guildwood address is their mailing address, house or PO box.
They are sharing space with a carrier, but I can't remember their name. SGL as far as I know is a broker only. If he is passing himself off as having trucks, my guess is they are the trucks of the carrier he is sharing space with.
Their warehouse is at 960 Brittania Road East in Mississauga.
