Afternoon good folks of IST. I have Marker Freight 51 Cranfield Dr North York trying to book a truck. Anyone with good bad or run like hell?? Seems maybe a new player. Saying on email ( yet to see their ppwk) it is maybe a direct shipper using the link?

Never heard of them, website and google reviews look AI generated to me.

I wouldn't be willing to roll the dice on that one but everyone has their own pain tolerances.

Gut says it's just another broker with fancy wording.

Website is the generic broker website you see all the time with the same AI generated image of a truck with their logo.

They didn't pass our credit tool we have, would be credit card, prepaid if we were to haul with our assets. ***lots of shippers fail with this tool

The website reads like a firm that is more consultative and contract based, but no Linkedin profile? Someone who is a professional wouldn't set up a company and not set this up.

In the Google reviews, one of the glaring reviews points to a one-off transaction that nobody else would handle which contradicts the way they are portrayed.

Definitely sounds like a broker though.

They have broker authorities, not carrier. One google review says they are asset based so I would say those are all fake reviews that were posted all together 2 months ago.

Too many guys pop up and and then disappear like polkaroo when it comes time to pay the bill.

As far as Safer is concerned, they are definitely a licensed freight broker, not a carrier. Were they able to produce any carrier references? People who have hauled their freight and been paid for their services?

Provided 3 references two of who I knew and called both checked out. Found one of the best brokers IMHO ever out there in the same manner back around 2001 so we are going to give it a go. Buddy asked me if I wanted quickpay etc with out even asking ( we are not QP folks like to keep all our money) . Hoping my gut is right ( usually bang on)

Yup. Look at where the facility is. This is not an area for truck yards.
