I would like to make this statement to everyone in this chat and answer the questions being raised so we can put this to bed and continue focusing on our business and customers.
We are CTL Group / Corona Transport Ltd. “CTL” is simply an abbreviation of Corona Transport Ltd. We are not operating under “two different names” as some people are trying to suggest.
We have both a physical location and mailing address, and anyone is welcome to visit us professionally:
55 Administration Road, Unit 28
Concord, Ontario
We have been operating for approximately 13 years throughout Canada and the USA. At one point, we voluntarily terminated our US MC authority because our customer base no longer required US freight services at that time. Our primary operation was TRI-temp reefer work.
Approximately 8 months ago, we restarted our US operations focusing mainly on:
- Canada → Eastern Seaboard LTL
- USA → Canada FTL returns
We also operate a warehouse in Concord, Ontario.
Our regular lanes include:
- New Jersey
- Pennsylvania
- Massachusetts
- Maryland
- Connecticut
- New York
Current fleet:
- 7 sleeper units
- 4 day cabs
- 17 dry vans

Regarding the tobacco issue being discussed online — yes, the incident did happen. Unfortunately, in situations like this, very few people care to understand the carrier’s side of the story.
No trucking company opens and inspects every sealed box or pallet loaded by a shipper. Carriers rely on shipping documents and declarations provided by the shipper, which is standard practice throughout the transportation industry.
It was an unfortunate situation. We dealt with the matter, paid the required fines, and moved forward with our business. At the end of the day, we were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
People online often jump to conclusions without understanding how trucking operations actually work. Misdeclared freight and shipper-related issues unfortunately happen in this industry and do not automatically make a carrier a criminal organization.
Despite the negativity, rumors, and anonymous accusations being spread online, we have continued operating professionally, servicing our customers, and growing our business.
