ILCO Transit - Payment trends

I spoke with an ex-dispatcher in November who left the company due to 'things not working well' at ILCO. We were lucky enough not to book any loads with ILCO since before the summer.

Anyone has a way to join them ? they have lots of unpaid invoices here, how can they just cease operations and disappear ? no bankruptcy advice anywhere ?

We have over 14000 outstanding. We only did loads here and there after december because they got too slow at paying. Alot of people in their team opened their own companies, I can't believe they are already setup with those shippers again. I am sure alot of them were aware that their company was going in this direction and just screwed carriers over. I know some companies with over 100000 outstanding. I feel bad, it is significant enough amount to result in bankruptcy for those companies.

Seems like a bunch of different companies were born right after they shut down, anyone have experience with those?
I think you should search the name of the person associated with the new company on linkedin. You'll be able to see if they already worked for Ilco.

The owners are already opening another company and getting reset up with Uniboard. Be careful taking loads from new quebec based brokers. Quebec shippers are also hard to work with and get payment from when brokers do this. They just tell you to f off.
