OPP nab truck driver for bobtailing without two tires

The mud all over the rims makes it look like they just got pulled from a ditch someplace. The OPP should have investigated if this truck/plate was noted in a previous police report. If not, they should really investigate where that damage was done. I'd wonder if someone has called in property damage someplace.
It must be a QC truck or another province other than ON because there is no rear plate and it was not censored out.

Or, and this may be hard to believe, but maybe they're just horribly negligent and the plate had fallen off in the past. Unlikely, but...

@Jim L : just an observation.. Sometimes photo is taken after plates are pulled of by authorities on the spot as OOS. But may be you are right as well.

That's a possiblility, but the report did not say that plates were pulled. They don't pull the plates unless there are a number of issues with the truck-the report only stated OOS due to major defect. A lot of other reports usually state weather the plates were pulled.

Maybe, but when OPP pull over a unit that is so blatantly doing something wrong they hand out the laundry list. I'd expect that one to be an easy one to add.

When one of my trucks lose the rear plate because they are made of flimsy metal and are subject to snow, ice and other road debris, we get written up for missing plate. That's why I went for the out of province explanation.
