Stay away from this clown, books loads with one broker then re-books the same load with another leaving people hanging. Doesn't even have the decency to let anybody know he's cancelled out on them. He's a one man show operating out of his cab and pulling a stepdeck trailer. Even as a carrier I find what this guy does as very un-ethical.
Authority shows he's based in Etobicoe Ontario. BEWARE!!!!!

We have used Dan Ostapec a few times over the years and have never had a problem. We will now however, keep a very close eye on him if we offer him any of our freight. There is no excuse for not notifying if you decide to cancel on a load.

The worst part is, when the other broker found out what he had done, they attempted to cancel the load with him (which was honorable on their part) he then treatened to just dump the load off on the side of the road, which would have left the customer in a very bad sittuation. I couldn't even imagine doing something like this, what a great way to make a bad name for yourself. Not a very smart business decision, especially when a good reputation means so much to carriers and brokers alike.
