Has anyone experienced the JB Hunt russa where they post their canadian freight in their 360 app and when you place a bid which ends up been the lowest one gets rejected, we have called mamy times to find out why and this guy by the name Donni who thinks he is the Czar of the canuck freight tells you that the freight pays CA$1000 or $800.00 as an example, that they don't care about the bids in 360 that this is what it pays and if you can't do it he got it go and throws the phone. Clearly the three legged donky is willing to apparently discourage some carriers from getting their freight, very dissapointed with the company, we used to deal with them in the past and thepeople over there at both the US and Canadian offices were very pleasant and a joy to deal with. I wonder if these guys in Canada are not in some indi carriers payroll by the way they run the shack???

I know this guy Donny, is in the US but I also was told by someone in their Lowell offices that they have an office in ON. I do business with the in the US which is fine, the problems is with all these sort of lies and tricks they use to move their Canadian loads, it seems according to them that they got lots of carriers moving their loads at near one buck Canadian a mile. My question is why they use their 360 to post their Canadian loads tricking carriers into a bidding that is false.

JB Hunt was looking to open Canadian operations about 10 or so years ago ... I went through a process with them that didn't work out and then someone I know also ended up going through it to the same avail.

I think they finally gave up ... if you've ever met people there you'd realize that there is a huge amount of veterans working there and they expect everyone to be like that ... doesn't work here so well.

Doesn't surprise me that the freight is cheap. There are some companies out there that are exploring AI-aided dispatch. On the asset side, I believe Challenger is doing it here too. There are some kinks to figure out I'm guessing.

They had it opened for under a year if I remember correctly.

They did a hiring blitz, flew people down to AR to get training for 3 months and then realized Canadian freight wasn't what they thought it was and closed it down.

It happens a lot with the US companies that try to operate here. They try to operate like it's the USA and it's just different. Sometimes a political nightmare when it comes to dealing with USA-based clients.
