Transferred a load of machinery that was loaded and blocked into a trailer for me. The load arrived damaged, short pieces. They said that they did not transfer the load. It loaded in a dry van and delivered in a reefer.
No, it had to be the trailer fairy, you know how that works... you go to bed and put an airline under your pillow and the next morning "poof" your dry van magically turns into a reefer, aluminum floors and all...LOL
Interestingly enough... the consignee didn't take quite as light heartedly as you guys. Pictures... videos... and a very long exception noted on the BOL. Brand new machinery... leaking oil... pieces broken off of it. One conveyor section was completely missing a leg.
Honestly... it looked as though the original trailer had rolled and they transferred all the pieces they could find into another trailer. After they off loaded... the receiver swept the floor and filled a 5 gallon pail with stray nuts, bolts and small pieces of steel.
The shipper did note the trailer plate number on the BOL. So that was good...
