Trans-Atlantic Freightways. Inc, Dorval, QC

Just in case it helps:
Legal Name: 9318-4091 QUEBEC INC
MC908252

SAFER shows OUT OF SERVICE as of Sept 1, 2016

"David" from there just called me on a post, and 100% it's the same guy from the STS (Southern Transportation Systems) scam. So Trans-Atlantic is giving it another shot almost a decade later. The dude should try an accent or something.

Hey I am looking for a carrier, One of our team members gave Trans atlantic a load without doing enough research. They had valid insurance and MC. They picked up for us on the 13th demanded payment due to not good credit which we made, after reading everything I am pretty sure this load might be sitting in a warehouse somewhere or on someone elses truck and I have no idea who it is.

next thing he will do is call your shipper and receiver to try and collect from them. you have to warn them. where was the load to and from...maybe we can figure out who does that lane...or post it and see if that carrier happens to call

I will do that, I have already tried asking the shipper if they know who the truck was that picked up but they do not have access to the cameras, They are on a different site.

From London ON - Devon AB for Flatbed
maybe call this guy...
Does anyone get loads from or give loads to MC# 1681612? Carrier name is 9440-2369 Quebec Inc dba Trans Atlantic

Please contact me if so. They double broker and don’t pay the other carrier. We can exchange notes.

Aren't shippers supposed to WRITE the name of the carrier on the BOL. Like, go outside and look on the door and write down who is loading their products?
I realize it could just be a local pickup company but at least you have a start on tracking down the load...

Bah,
Mike

Yeah, No We tell them who the carrier is that is picking up but I guess they do not keep track of that as we asked if there is any sort of log sheet or anything like that.

They don't need to do that. Their only concern really is who is the shipment contracted to in my experience. It's not usually the actual shipper that bought the services.

Freight Industry Alert: Stop Transatlantic Transportation Before More Carriers Get Burned

If you work in transportation, logistics, or trucking, you’ve likely heard the horror stories about double brokering, freight hostage scams, and disappearing brokers. Today, we’re pulling back the curtain on one of the most active repeat offenders in North America:

Mr. Ahmad or David and his web of shell companies, including:
  • Transatlantic Transportation
  • Rapid Transit
  • Interstate Carriers
  • And other paper companies registered in both Canada and the U.S.

The Scam Pattern Everyone Needs to Know

Here’s how it works, step by step:

  1. Double Brokering – Loads are accepted from a broker and then secretly re-brokered to carriers at a lower rate. The original broker’s identity is hidden while Ahmad’s companies pocket the difference.
  2. Freight Hostage Tactics – Once the load is in transit, the carrier is threatened: “Pay us more, or we’ll withhold delivery.” These shakedowns often involve demands for upfront wire transfers or e-transfers.
  3. Disappear & Repeat – After money changes hands, communication is cut off. Brokers lose, carriers lose, shippers lose. Ahmad wins—until the next victim gets caught in the cycle.

Why This Matters

This isn’t a one-off bad deal. This is a pattern of organized fraud spreading across provinces and states. Each time Ahmad and his companies strike, trust in the freight industry takes another hit—and real hardworking truckers, dispatchers, and brokers pay the price.

What We Need From You

The only way to shut down these fraudsters is through community power.

  • Share your experience: Have you or someone you know been scammed by Transatlantic Transportation, Rapid Transit, or Interstate Carriers? Leave your email and story in the comments or contact us directly.
  • Spread the word: Share this post with your network—your voice might save another carrier from being the next victim.
  • Report & Document: Save all contracts, rate cons, and text/email communications. The more evidence we gather, the stronger our case becomes to regulators and enforcement agencies.

Final Word

Fraud thrives in silence. Ahmad and his companies rely on victims staying quiet out of frustration or embarrassment. But together, we can expose the pattern, warn the community, and demand accountability.

Drop your email below. Share your story. Stand up with us. Let’s stop Transatlantic Transportation before another trucker loses his livelihood.

I’m reaching out not just for myself, but for every honest broker, carrier, and shipper in our industry. last Friday, Trans Atlantic Transportation turned what should have been a simple $700 CAD load (tender attached) into a nightmare of fraud and extortion.

The load was supposed to move from MS Food Inc., Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu PQ → Brampton ON. Instead of handling it, Trans Atlantic secretly double brokered it to LT Group. All day they ignored my messages. Only when I threatened police did they admit what happened. LT Group then refused to deliver unless they were paid $5,000 CAD, holding my load hostage. In the end, I had to pay $2,000 CAD just to get freight released.

This isn’t just my problem. It’s a pattern that others have already suffered from:
  • Double brokering to hide the real carrier.
  • Hostage tactics demanding inflated ransom payments.
  • Disappearing after money changes hands.
Trans Atlantic Transportation is not just dishonest — they are a danger to every one of us who relies on trust in this business. If we don’t unite, they will keep repeating this scam and draining money from hardworking carriers and brokers.
I ask for your support: please share this alert, blacklist them in your networks, and if you’ve faced similar issues, reply with details. I will be filing reports with authorities, but we are stronger if we act together.

Let’s protect each other and stop this fraudster once and for all.
