Watch out to Road Land Logistics and M Harris they are double broking load, for more then what they have. It's a second time that append. Be very careful.

One of our dispatchers just took 2 loads from these guys......alarm bells went up with our accounting department. They where paying $2100 from WI to Kingston we actually know the broker who has these loads and sells them for $1700 (which we won't touch). When we phoned the broker who has these loads his response was "why would they pay you more than we are paying them?"....and we wonder why the criminals survive.

I did a load with them at the end of Decemeber and their invoice is almost due... I am not sure what to do now with seeing all of this...

I checked the paperwork and it doesn't have any other names on it... .its the shippers basic b.o.l

How do i know they are the ones who took the load and that I am not going to get a call from a carrier 5 months from now looking for payment ?

Is this the m.harris with a laval, pq address...

I caught them with their shenanigans by calling the customs broker and finding out what company cleared the freight (they are able to bring up the proper PARS number and tell you who the carrier was).

Be prepared though, in my case they were offering $400 more than they were being paid.

Good luck!!

The freindly broker I would call the shipper and receiver and find out who really is their customer..........be pro-active on this and don't worry about offending anyone these guys are trying to rip you off. The funny thing is I cannot find them on the link?

RE: RTS/M HARIS

By the way it is M Haris only 1 R as it is spelt in east europe.

There is very little we can do it seems when dealing with such determined criminals. Our justice system is a has failed with these balkan boys, it has allowed scam after scam to evolve without any of these criminals being pursued. Filing a complaint with the RCMP is about as useless as it gets, the police just don't care in Quebec, they will tell you it's a Surete du Quebec issue and the SQ cant be bothered, one officer made a comment to me in the fall that suggested I hire a lawyer but we all know lawyers are not cheap and who's got that kind of money in this economy.

All victims should get together and share the expense of hiring 1 lawyer to keep the costs down and perhaps this will lead to some kind of justice.

Crime pays big in Quebec !

well well... you are soo right... their name did not come up on either crossing..

I've left messages with the two names the customs broker gave me and we'll see whats going on....

big props for the heads up... i felt funny when they took it, but the loads were done on time, so i let it go.... you have probably just saved two carriers and myself form getting ripped off...

will keep you updated

Please advise if either TP Expresss Inc. and/or Trans Cargo Inc. were involved in carriage.

I've found both carriers and they were promised 350 more for each load than i was paying them. I am calling link now to get these guys off and hope you all do same thing.

This type of activity can not be tolerated. I've also made arrangements to pay the carriers directly and thinking about getting the RCMP involved or whoever handles these things...

These people need to be stopped today !

I have all the documents from them but cannot find them on the Link to report them. If you can tell me what name they are operating under I will send all of there info to link.

Btw, who were the actual linehaul carriers?

I can't find them on link either. Apparently, when they call the carrier, they identify themself as land transport, but when they take a load from a broker, they use the name m.haris transport.
Neither name is on link.. I've just sent in a complaint to Link as I have both of the carriers that took loads from them sending me their load sheets showing they were being offered more money than my orders.

Of course, no one at link wanted to talk in person.. just send an email and we will look into it. They are going to have to find out somehow who's active account is being used for this.

the only other way is to post in a lane we know they service and write down all the carriers which are showing on link to see if one has same phone number.

I just got off the phone with Pacific Financial Association that hold their bond it is active and in full force and has no claims. The phone number for Pacific is 800-595-2615, so if you have been burned file a claim. The strangest thing is the girl who answered the phone was only interested if I wanted to file a claim not interested in the fact that they engaged in criminal activity.

Thats' strange that they have an active bond....

I spoke with Link and they are aware of the situation, but no one knows what name they are posting under which means nothing can be done.

why would they give out their bond info if they are not doing anything wrong, yet be paying out more than they are getting.... something is strange...

apparenlty, the road trans or whatever their other name was was taken off link for complaints a while back

I have a whole package from them, contacts that I can't find on the link so if anyone wants copies let me know.

I now have their paperwork....

Road Land/Haris

Just thought I would add stay away from these guys. We moved freight for Road Land which was of course was double brokered. Thankfully this was caught by the originating logistic company. In addition Road Land has a bond which is good. So if they owe you money go after the bond.

Bond

Just called up my insurance broker who also handles the Harris account told him to check out this site.
I asked him if this was a performance bond and he told me it was not , this is a truckers liability policy for one truck!!
