CBSA officers intercept two truck shipments of cocaine

Better idea how about Mr's Dhillon and Singh and their buddies quit bringing in the shit at all and maybe dumbo Agent Orange will have nada to bitch about as you know as far as he is concerned this is the problem even though coming to Canada he will think of it as the problem. 99 out of 100 busted bringing in dope are all from India call me racist all you want but have no idea of how telling the truth can be called racist.

why are the trucking companies also not penalized / shamed / banned etc???
obviously they are in on it - with GPS tracking on trucks how are the not aware of what is going on
Hold on a moment. We are not watching every truck every minute to see if the driver decides to stop at a rest area or a truck stop or some off interstate restaurant and then calling them to see why they stopped only to get a lie. I'm all for law enforcement demanding any and all information that we have on the movement of the equipment. I'd gladly supply all that I can to thwart this kind of activity. To shame or ban the carrier that's another thing. Sometimes you can have all the policies in the world, but it won't stop something from getting through.

I truly do not understand this.

The always hide the carrier, screw that. Shame them.

Should be Mr's Dhillon and Singh who work for XYZ trucking were caught.

I understand that most of the time, the carrier is unaware what the driver is doing but maybe a little bad press will make them more aware. Maybe start questioning why there driver who is loaded in Phoenix made a detour 100 miles off route and was sitting there for 2 hours.

For sure they can remove the carrier's PIP/CTPAT/CSA until it is fully investigated and then increase enforcement. That is more than enough pain for a carrier and a lot of incentive to look for guys going 100 miles out of route.

I am not saying stalk all your trucks - but there are timelines and routes that you generally have expectations for - and if those are not met - then you ask
Also seal at shipper ... simple policies

Yes, significant out of routes are easily identified, but if a driver takes an hour off when he could have, or was only mandated, to take only a half hour is not going to get identified. These indications are not the kind of situations where you want to call someone to investigate your driver further on a hunch. If a carrier notices these things they'd most likely can the driver before involving police.
More enforcement is the key here. More DEA in the states watching the dealers who meet up with drug runners. Additional drug enforcement in Canada to spot who is moving drugs and where is it coming from. Better communication between enforcement agencies. More spot inspections at borders to give drivers the expectation that they can be searched at any time and to check seal integrity. Shipper participation in border/load security by properly noting the seal and the consignee checking it. Increased provincial enforcement through truck and trailer inspections in conjuction with police and K9. Longer incarceration for convicted drug runners. Don't let those who get caught get off by saying, 'I have no clue how that got there'. Do a thorough investigation of all parties involved - spread the pain around. and of course, lean on the carrier to provide every bit of data they can.

If drugs and Fentanyl are the new pain point, lots can be done by both countries-especially if it's moved on a truck. Do whatever it takes to get it out of our industry is the best thing for us.

There are so many angles to this, and you can’t just boil it down to race. Some drivers might be strapped for cash and take the risk, while in other cases, the companies or management could be involved, and the driver has no clue. Yeah, there’s a pattern in who’s getting caught, but let’s be real drug smuggling didn’t start with the immigration crisis, its a tale old as time. This has been going on forever. Before it was Harpreet and Mr. Dhillon, it was Bob, Larry ,Bill and crew. Different names, same game.

Sure it happened but not freaking weekly as it is now and have not seen a Bob Bill or Harry in years but lots of Harpreet Balpreet and Kuldeeps. Being a shitty operation or strapped for cash hell we have all been there or worked there but never ever have I once even given a thought to hey maybe I should start hauling dope for easy money. Been offered it more than once to haul illegal tobacco and 10k cash Norfolk area too the rez at Montreal is not worth it IMHO.

OK - I'll come clean. Was in Nashville last year (before shit got weird) and mentioned to the Starbucks lady that they took away the green pokey sticks in Canada. She said she hears that all the time and handed me a massive whack of them. Now I'm not selling them, but I am distributing them to people who ask nice.
