Noted on a BOL for a shipment we recently hauled... Does any one know what this means?

"Liability limitation for loss or damage in this shipment may be applicable. See Civil Code of Quebec, 5th Book, 2nd Title, Chapters 5 and 6"

Any help would be appreciated.

A bit more information would help. Where was the shipment picked up and where was it going? Shipments that cross Provincial and International borders are subject to Federal jurisdiction. Intra-provincial shipments are covered by Provincial regulations.
