Anyone work with this carrier?

302-878 Lakewood Rd. N NW, Edmonton
PH: 647-625-2336
MC: 1630761
DOT: 4171746
Looks like they've only been in business since December 2023 so they're new.

Based in AB but ONT phone #, which has me a little leary.

Also 5 trucks, and 0 inspections on their FMCSA, questionable as well.

I spoke them the other day, they sounded new, I was being cheeky and asked them if they bought their MC, surprisingly they said yes. Not sure if they understood what I was asking.

I'm sure it was the owner I spoke to and they are new, green as grass. I did not give them the load so can't comment on their service of if they are legitimate.

I also asked if Archie and Jughead worked there but that joke fell flat

One time when I worked as an intern architect my friend and I signed all the plans in the set with names from the Archie series... a few days later our boss gets a call to send us to the client for a 'meeting'. We were shitless scared - taken to the owner's office and he took us out to lunch - cos NO ONE in his office noticed and when he did - he siad ' it was the highlight of his day' ... so maybe you will get a lunch invite ...

Did anyone actually end up working with this company? They have approached us to move a load but their Safer still shows 0 inspections, maybe they are just lucky...

Being a new carrier it's in their best interest to go get those inspections, wouldn't describe it's absence as lucky.. They can literally ask for one at a scale (nicely)

I am hearing not anymore. Too many carriers this summer pulling in and asking as a lot of brokers are saying no inspections no freight. Second hand knowledge but have seen it a couple times.

Oh I see how it can be the case
I would bet that being nice and considerate of how busy it currently is (plus a bit of luck) would maybe still do the trick, but who knows

I heard the same, not very easy to get a voluntary inspection now.

Someone recommended having a very noticeable low tire on the scale side to force the inspection. Others recommended driving during Blitz week or take loads to CA. MT or WY

Heard from these guys the other day asking for a load, keeping an eye on this to see if anyone actually uses them.
