The only way it took them to pay someone a long time is they must have done something wrong

Honestly never had an issue with Scottlyn, lol i used to pay those guys 1300 reefer freight (ftl plants) out of miami back to gta so i doubt they were able to double broker that lol. Scotlynn gets my stamp of approval

I would agree that if Scottlyn paid late, there was some sort of reason, i have completed many Ontario shipments for them without any payment problems

Never did a lot with them, but we never had a problem getting paid. Last load was 2021
Yeah haven’t done anything with them for a while, used to have no problems. Now we’re getting the runaround. Only informed about their “policy” of exclusively paying by EFT when we had to reach out about an overdue invoice and told to fill out a form because they didn’t have our info. You’d think if this is the policy we’d be informed when submitting the invoice or at least contacted when payment came due. Now we’re being told, in very general and opaque terms, the payment will go out on “the next run” and the payables department seems to be going out of their way to not give a specific date. I noticed their credit rating being slightly lower than what I’d expect a big player in the industry to have, and now I’m starting to understand why.

Big outlay time for them with all the inputs etc they have on the farming side maybe a bit of a cash crunch, All speculation but a viable reason. He farms a lot of dirt in this area.

Who isn't in a cash crunch? Generally speaking, payments have gotten slower for a majority of big players, even those that were always punctual are requiring a bit more breathing room.
