if they require CSA drivers, chances are the trailers are sealed no?How many skids? Rate is good if you can throw in another half load.

"A war of attrition" at this point. But you are right our customers though slow are keeping us going. Find the good ones and keep' em happy.Don't lose hope... some customers are still working with reasonable rates. Sure there are fewer of them now, but they're out there.
As long as you don't hold your eyes eh? *wink wink*BRANTFORD TO AJAX truck load....$300 buckaroos. oh btw needs a direct expedite transit too. Tempted to name drop this broker, but I will hold my tongue.

I wonder what actual freight charge on this is...ouch!
Our Brantford to Ajax 53' DV TL is $500 + FSC (36% currently), our clients seem to think our rate is fair for a truckload expedite on this lane and similar lanes, our rubber roll these lanes on the regular.I wonder what actual freight charge on this is...
Isn't it like 1400 km from NB to YYZ or something like that? wow less than buck a km.... wow and scary AF at the same time. Not that $1.50 a km would get it off the dock either.we've been dealing with some clients advising we need to drop to $1,000 all in NB to ON..............with trees now done and wet summer (can't harvest the peat) = OUCH
I'm not surprised though, there was a time when ON-NB and back was a niche lane, even NS and NFLD. Used to be mostly the carriers based out of those areas, looking for freight heading back up. With all the new companies now registering in a PO BOX up there for the cheaper ins rates, and the new rule about having to have a certain amount of miles in those provinces, those lanes have gotten pretty saturated. Now everyone goes up there with an Amazon or Walmart load, looking for an "MT trailer for use" and pull anything to get back down so they can turn the truck back around again.we've been dealing with some clients advising we need to drop to $1,000 all in NB to ON..............with trees now done and wet summer (can't harvest the peat) = OUCH
Probably a fresh load of crack since obviously the guy posting this smoked up all his stash.Brampton, to Scarborough and New Market 16 feet - $150.00 has to deliver direct cant be a straight truck...
Hmmm. why are they only posting the fuel surcharge?Brampton, to Scarborough and New Market 16 feet - $150.00 has to deliver direct cant be a straight truck...
Very imbalanced lane.. Going the other way rates more than compensate, even now. I did a Toronto to Moncton last week... paid the carrier $3800.00 on 1015 miles.we've been dealing with some clients advising we need to drop to $1,000 all in NB to ON..............with trees now done and wet summer (can't harvest the peat) = OUCH
Add the weather now, it only gets worse going out east.Very imbalanced lane.. Going the other way rates more than compensate, even now. I did a Toronto to Moncton last week... paid the carrier $3800.00 on 1015 miles.
