Cars - what did you drive in your 20's

Sure wish i was born in the 70's would of loved to have one of those classics as my first however i was lucky enough to to drive some reliable beaters

2009 Nissan Altima- First Car
2002 Ford Ranger -2nd car
Corvette Z06 - Current car

I've had lots. When I was in my teens I mostly drove jalopies. But my first car was actually a family hand-me-down, a 1977 Olds Omega SX (not sure how many of you will know what that was). It was beautiful (a Nova with a much nicer interior) with a 305 4bbl, fun to drive but from a reliability standpoint it was a turd (it was 8 years old at the time).

I've had American, Japanese and European cars. The ones here who may remember who I am won't be surprised that I drive a Volvo now.

Never said I was young ... maybe you're older than me though.

When in the biz, I was sort of an anomaly because so many wanted pick up trucks and Jeeps that held no appeal to me ever. Other than my Volvo now, the best car I had - 2005 Cadillac CTS. Loved that car so much that I kept it for too long.

I drove a '93 BMW 318I.
Upon registering it and going to Service Ontario, the lady was shocked when she was printing the form stating the previous owners, only to proudly announce at the end that I am now the proud, 24th owner of said vehicle.

My brother had an '89 Volvo 240 wagon with a 5.0 Cobra engine stuffed in it. Wouldn't call that a car for "old people".

My 1st car in '94 was a Sky Blue 1982 K-Car
Paid $200.00 for it
no Radio
no Passenger mirror
12 year old car that has 60,000kms on the odometer when we picked it up.
Best feature were the bench seats and the map light

I drove that thing into the ground (didn't take much) after 8 months the Alternator gave out. Then 4 months later the master cylinder gave out while I was about 4 blocks from home, this is also when I realized the parking break was shot and wouldn't stop the car, I ended up throwing it into park to finally stop the damn thing and that was the end of that

1987 Honda Prelude (gray), crank sunroof, flip up lights. It was stick and I had to learn to drive it to get it home. That car saw things I'll never tell my son. I currently drive a Honda Pilot, always loved the brand and now they even make them for tall people (over 6').

Funny enough - my wife's first car was also a 1987 gray Honda Prelude. :)

++ LOVED all generations of Prelude and Honda's for that matter. Civic here presently, brother has an S2000

OMG sticks are the best - contemplating buying one again ...atleast this way I will have a car and won;t have to beg the kids 'I need the car today - no one can use it' - please

Also they won;t know what roll down windows are ....
