Booked them on a load today that had potential of lumper. We notified them that we reimburse with receipt.

They requested their policy is to get prepaid for lumper even though there might not be any lumper. They also told us they don't have enough cash to pay for the lumper so that is why they need to be prepaid.

The last choice I gave them is we can prepay the entire with 10% discount if they can send us loaded BOL, which they refused.

They cancelled. DNU for us. Company is very unprofessional.

They just finished doing a load for us and I am so sorry that I did not see this post before dealing with such a BAD carrier...
Because the receiver would not clean out their van after unloading, they are threatening us with human rights violations...
Where do these guys come from?

What does that even mean? When is a receiver responsible to clean out a van - was it exceptionally dirty?

My guess it's carbon black or something of the sort. Never heard of a receiver being responsible for a trailer wash though.
I've had a few brokers volunteer to wash our trailers after carbon black loads. And the "scrap steel" loads that turn out to be half tin can, half Campbells Rotten Noodle soup.

I have to assume that there is a side story to this that is not being told or a complete misunderstanding. .

Some scrap places offer washouts and cleaning areas. this is the first I'm hearing of a receiver being expected to clean a trailer. You would be lucky if they were kind enough to provide you with a broom hence why all of our trucks are equipped with a collapsible broom. Welcome to the day and age of the entitled trucker, I guess.

Oh agreed. This is just the extent I've seen anyone that didn't own or operate our equipment give a crap about our trailer condition after their stuff is out of it.
