does anyone hire this company? it appears that they take loads under Young Transportation but then hire back their other company 7179472 who is WSIB exempt. there is no WSIB coverage on this company that is actually doing the work. Most people are unaware how WSIB works. so if you don't know how to check this then you will end up paying their WSIB premium if this is found. Company claims to have O.O, which is fine, but the company you hire is no the one that is the one hauling the load (per say, and by that I mean in the fine print, they appear the same using "young transportation" as the cover, but they actually have 2 corporations 1629762 Ont. Inc./ 7179472 Canada Inc. Remember guys, the one who is actually pulling the load must have WSIB coverage, when you contract someone you must have the exact name of that company (including numbers) and cross reference that with what is in WSIB database. There is no such thing as a "sister company" , this is a nice way of saying "a different corporation" and a different entity so please guys do your checks.

What I do know about them is that they are working as an integrated dedicated carrier for Loblaws. The fact that they have divisions split up is not as concerning as one may think, a lot of transportation companies actually do it so they can transition easier if they screw up their SAFER scores too badly. Just Young got caught.

They're obviously playing a shell game with the WSIB though. A lot of owner-operator type fleets have tried this but eventually it comes to bite them ... WSIB is like a mafia.

yeah, agree, we prefer to be cautious and avoid hiring. what I do know is the exact name of the co. that we hire on our tender must match the exact company on wsib which must match the company going in.
no sistering allowed.
