They are messaging us to do outbound loads but we can't find much on them..

Just had them do an LTL from ON to Fort Mac. Took them 2 weeks to get this delivered. Told us it would deliver last Friday and then kept getting pushed out. Finally delivered yesterday. Told us the freight had been in Edmonton since last week. When I asked where it was so I could make other arrangements to get this delivered, they told me 2 different cross docks till they finally settled on I-Way who they also arranged to do the final delivery. They called I-Way Monday, dropped there Tuesday afternoon and I-Way delivered on Wednesday morning.

It sounds like they double brokered it.
I would recommend not paying them yet and talk to the warehouse and confirm the name of the truck that dropped the freight off. And if they can confirm it is the truck that picked up then there's no issues to pay this carrier but if it was a different carrier you may want to call them and arrange to pay them directly. That way they are guaranteed to be paid, Penny don't have to worry about it coming back at you later for non payment to the carrier that did the actual work.

When I spoke to I-Way they told me that it was a WBF truck but he was a little hesitant on answering that question and asked me why I was asking. Need to do a little more digging but either way they technically still brokered out the load to I-Way for the delivery. If you can't do it just say you can't. If they got the shipment to Edmonton last week like they said they would, i could have made other arrangements to have it delivered. I honestly don't think this shipment left Ontario either until mid/late last week

I-WAY does intermodal and with the transit time, I'd put money on the choo-choo as well.

Yes IWAY seems to be doing this a lot, BC/AB-ON LTL will %100 be going choo-choo service no matter how much they say it doesn't. Seems to be the popular thing to do these days.

Had to block their number, used to call me on all my LTL postings even though I politely declined their choo-choo services disguised as OTR every damn time.

I know, they do not even realize! They had the audacity to ask for another load from us after that debacle. Politely told them we will not be doing business with them anymore after that situation. Was requested to give details. IT WAS THE SAME GUY who handle it.

My Qualifications:
I have three teenagers - and once I gave my daughter the phone to talk to a 'dispatch service' we are now on the dispatch servoce's DNU list as my teenager spent two hours asking them for clarification ... all I had to do was buy her a boba - so clearly I can handle 3 call volumes at a time

AHAHAHA I would be so down to troll scammers calling on postings, I do have fun with it sometimes but to have a call center trio vetting the calls would be gold LOL

Before someone comes at me, yes misrepresenting services is a scam, I will call it what it is. If i wanted choo-choo i would have posted for it.
