Anyone on here with Wind Mobile? how is the service around toronto?

Two of my friends in Toronto switched providers to WIND. Then went back to their original provider. Big problem with dropped calls and waiting on a dial tone....

They just aren't big enough yet to be a contender in the cell phone market....Need to work out some "kinks" first.

I guess you could say that Wind "blows". Ha ha ha (bada boom bada bing! I'm here all week! Check out the veal marsala while you're here.)

But seriously, I have heard different things about Wind and I want to switch from Fido because I'm getting hosed with this data plan that has not changed in going on 4 years. Wind was advertising unlimited data and some really good rates and I've yet to find a carrier that has a decent data plan for Blackberry. Koodo has some interesting plans but I think that's for kids and someone said they're somehow tied in with Telus, which I am not fond of. Telus has horrible data plans and equally bad call drop rates and sketchy coverage. I know Public Mobile is pretty much only prepaid and is just in Toronto and Montreal and I have no idea about Mobilicity.

Let's put it this way: the owner of Wind Mobile was quoted a few months ago as saying he wonders why they even opened in Canada, with the way our telecom industry protects the big 3 (Robbers, Telus and Bell.)

They are currently setting up Telecom all over Canada and all the kinks will be out soon - from a good source.

Wind

I have a Wind phone and I must admit I am thinking about getting rid of it. I work out Winston Churchhill way and the phone does not work out here for the most part. There are also places in Brampton that it consistently does not work. I also heard they were having problems last year because of the lack of Canadian Owner ship percentage but I don't know what the out come was

That's the challenge of owning a business in Canada, to many rules and setbacks to overcome.
