Like many of you lately I have been paying particular attention to what's happening in my home province of Quebec. As some of you know I came across this company last week (Road Transportation Solutions) based in St-Lambert, QC that is involved in scam like so many others we've seen across Canada but especially Montreal. Fact is, this company almost got me for 16,000$ offering me backhauls from Texas for decent prices and they're credit was decent enough to fool me. I run a blog that I call the CTW and have had 23 companies contact me regarding this scam. Some have lost over 20,000$ while others became aware of the scam while the freight was still on their truck. I have ran out of things to tell these people. I am very frustrated and angry that this has repeated itself and is still happening as we speak. I have been doing some thinking and have spoken to a lot of people on this and many other issues. Loadlink blocked these people monday morning from using their database after us making them aware of these criminals. I even confronted these criminals by telephone and told them I will make every attempt to get them arrested for their crimes. Reality is, this is the 6th incident of this type in the Montreal and surrounding area over the past 2 years and nobody has been prosecuted. The RCMP have not been helpful and have not even contacted me despite numerous phone calls regarding this group of russians. I have learned we're on our own, the cops just don't care, they have bigger fish out there doing worse things I guess. If anyone has any advice let me know because I just dont know what to do anymore except live with the reality that crime pays in Canada and being a victim is part of life.

I would like to add that this site has done a great job at getting the word out on this issue and many others. Many people learned about it thru insidetransport. I would imagine there must be some costs involved in keeping this site operational and next time I get a chance I will made a small donation. Anyone that did benefit from this info or anything else should keep that in mind.(thats my opinion)

We need some help from our friends in Quebec

There are plenty of decent companies in Quebec and I believe it's time to have a site similar to this one for french canadians. We can learn and share information that I am sure all of us can benefit from and maybe next time we'll be one step ahead of these creeps.

Regretful for your loss with these guys. Do not despair and I beleive this is the time to do something about this type of crime. Thanks to this iste and to Thomas Donaldson's site, these scam artists are finding life a lot harder. Simply by word of mouth thay are put out of operation fairly quickly.
I live close to the address you have given and I suspect that this office is in an old office building on the corner of Victoria street and Desaulnier in St lambert. I will check this out tonight on my way home and give you an update.
I was also scammed for several thousands of dollars a few years ago by a white Anglo Saxon Canadian. He is refered to in many of these sites and has nailed carriers over the last 7 or 8 years, the amount of the scams is surely impressive, and I can only guess the amount. All in all it has taken many years and this criminal is nearing the end of his freedom. He was charged with fraud and is awaiting sentencing. This I acheived by presenting the local police with bulletproof evidence of the crime, leaving them no alternative but to prosecute the scam. The clincher here is that you must tell them that a fraud has occured, and this is a CRIMINAL matter and not a CIVIL Matter. This is not a business deal gone sour. You simply have to show that this freight broker was indeed selling you freight for less than he was getting paid. Therefore no profit could be generated and unless he was registered as a Charity, he had no intentions of ever paying your fees. Hence you have proved intent to de fraud, a CRIMINAL offence.

Montreal Trucker can you please PM me or call me regarding this situation as I am also involved but on the otherside as they dbl brokered my freight and I caught them due to your original post last week.
