Hi Forum - I wanted to get some advice...

I have a customer that has 1 20ft container of 450 boxes. He wanted me to provide a rate for offload and storage.

How would you approach this and what would you charge? Also what do pick and pack rates go for and any additional charges like shrink wrap/handling?

Much appreciated - thanks.

Looking to start this myself since the client wants me to handle it,

Paul, standard floor offloading of 20' container range from $ 175.00 to $ 225.00 depending on size, weight, Sku's etc. 40' $ 295- 325.00
Supply of empty pallets $ 5.00 - $ 8.00 depending on requirements/size
Handling of full pallet into inventory and out $ 5.00 - 6.00 one time charge.
Wrapping of pallets $ 3.00 - $ 4.00
Initial Storage per pallet, depends on how high you can stack 2, 3 4 etc... basically in warehousing you require at lest $ 20-$ 24 per sqft to cover all costs, one pallet spot is equal to 20 sqft
Recurring Storage (1st if the month) per pallet would be based on the initial, again depends on stacking
Pick and Pack, depends, are you picking eaches as in master cases or opening a master cases and picking items from that master case
Technically it can be anywhere from $ 0.20 to $ 0.75 per case pick, but normally a minimum charge applies from $ 3.00 - $ 5.00 per order.
Hope that helps a little.
