Paul, We chose a voip system three years ago........ different company, however, the purchase of the system was the same cost as Ma Bell...... so no additional costs........... We pay for ONE Fax line at a cost of 129.95 per month and all computers, email and phone come to the ONE line............ We chose to go with a company called MY FAX for our faxes....... which gives us a 1 -800 number to fax to and converts all our faxes to email......... NO extra fax machine and no extra phone line........... Bell Wanted 89.95 per month per line and we needed 6....... We have 6 phone lines and were able to choose our phone numbers..... so we got a Kitchener number (we are based in Kitchener) a Toronto number, London number, Niagara number, Windsor number and an 800 number.......... the local numbers cut our 800 number costs and our biggest long distance bill ever was 17.00....... I figure we save about 2500.00 per month............. so I DO RECOMMEND a voip system

I went with Ring Central about 2 years ago. It was a total disaster. The set up was horrible and the system went down on several occasions giving me more grey hair. They quoted me one price and then when billed it was higher. I pulled it after 2 weeks of use and cost me about $4,000. I went back to a PBX land line system. The voip systems are good and beneficial cost wise but when your internet goes down or they have system issues, nobody can get a hold of you which is extremely costly in this business where everyone wants answers now.

I had a few people with ring central very satisfied, I think they had some major changes and I prewired my new office to be ready for any problems.

Thanks for input guys.

Ring central is not so bad, if you know how to use ....certainly not convenient but if you do, know what to do> then will not be a problem.... example: you have to do set up (in the system) first ring comes to you cell phone and second ring to base ip phone, in this case, if electricity lost, then all calls going to your cellphone, and you can answer at any time to anybody. And that you can do to each of the lines in your office, and one more option: to forward all calls (if nobody answer) to any phone numbers. There is a lot of options what to do.
