Load triple brokered -- Sunny Logistics > YK Freightways > Actual carrier
Tendered a dry load to Sunny Logistics for BC to ON. Twenty minutes before the shippers' closing time we were informed there was a wheel seal issue and a mechanic was dispatched to repair the unit, we were also sent pictures of the wheel as well. Pick up was pushed to the next day for an unknown time pending repairs..
We knew something was up based on the picture of the wheel and bogies from the breakdown so we posted the load on Loadlink the next morning.
We received a call from a carrier who was onsite at the shipper for this load. The shipper verified the carrier information. The carrier told us they received the load from YK Freightways and it was tendered to them the day before, late in the day, well after the alleged breakdown.
We set up the carrier onsite, load delivered and carrier was paid.
As a final note, there was not enough money in this load for it to be triple brokered. We had no contact with YK Freightways and do not know the relationship between Sunny Logistics and YK Freightways.
