Are Transportation Services.ca the same company as E.T. Transport? They called us to take haul a load for them but they were too vague on the details of the load. I read a few other posts about them and wanted to know if they are double brokering or are they running two companies - one as a broker and one as the actual trucking company?

It was a very confusing phone call so any help would be appreciated before we haul any of their freight.

Hauling I would stay away from either side of this outfit. They can't move freight on their own trucks properly. The details were vague because they were most likely trying to double broker something and didn't have all the info.

Thanks Michael.

I did ask if they were associated with E.T. Transport in any way and was told that they didn't know of E.T. Transport. Since they have the same address, I was a bit confused.

Guys,

I can tell you 100% for sure that they are the same company. When you see the place you'll find that it's run like a freight brokerage, and the two phone sets are beside each other on people's desks.

E T is all owner operators, where the drivers own the trucks and the trailers ... so the equipment itself is not consistent. Some of it is good, some of it is really shoddy.

The way transportationservices.ca is marketed to me looks like it would target frustrated brokers trying to find a truck. They'll take care of it for you ... just between $4 and $5 a mile.

The vagueness thing would bother me too. I would avoid them, personally.

Especially if they are lying to you about the affiliation between the 2 companies

Yes they are the same, or atleast same owners that own both.

Et transport/transportation services.ca/rfs financial

So they are a factoring company now too? The fax # for RFS Financial comes up as TransportationSolutions.ca fax as well, yet E.T. did the load for me. The pod's are being sent from TransportationSolutions.ca/RFS fax #.

I just spent a few moments on their website. I might as well pack up and go home. I can't compete. New fleet of Thermo King reefers, THE leading competitor in refrigerated, the most trusted name in Ontario Flatbed Carriers...Asset based.
If you look around, the spelling, grammar, phraseology and punctuation has some errors.
All I know is that they call me for O/D quotes once in awhile, and they never really sound like they have a clue as to what they are trying to quote.
I think there is enough embellishment on their website, and enough coincidences here that they have earned a spot on my DNU.

In sales you're sometimes expected to embellish. Funny thing...a few years back I made a sales call to a company and told them "we specialize in freight to/from Canada. He paused and said..."well the last guy who called me just a few minutes ago said he can do EVERYTHING for me...so why should I use you? I told him I'd call him back in a few weeks...the "I can do everything" broker apparently couldn't do anything...and I ended up getting their Canadian freight.

There's really good money in factoring. If they can find a few schmoes to factor through them, and have access to B/L data as sales leads, why wouldn't they?

They never said they're the most ethical company in the world ... so it's not lying.

Boy, I'm fecicious today.
